I’ll admit I got into the Gruden threads, I wanted to believe it, but didn’t quite. I never felt like a fool when It turned out the way it did. Disappointed some, but wasn’t heartbroken enough to make me feel like a fool. If we are being honest, the ones that hung out in that thread, we had fun and missed some of that when it was over. Sorta like this thread. We are just having fun while it lasts. Nostalgia is addictive.

I’m always fascinated at how we understand that other Big Bidness conducts deals in secrecy and only makes it public when all the attorneys have crawled all over the paperwork.

Wonder if the fact that Malzahn and Taggert will both be on fairly hot seats next year will have any bearing ? I know that Malzahn and Freeze have a shared history and also that Malzahn still has the huge buyout in his favor to maybe make him feel a little more secure about hiring his potential replacement . I just have this sick feeling that Saban is going to win the Freeze sweepstakes and we will be trotting out Willie Willie lump lump as the new OC

Pj your full of it. I live and work in Knoxville as alot of fans do. I'm alumni as alot on this board are. I stay up to date on everything that goes on over there as alot of alumni does. Where do you live??

Not about subversive actions, it's about incompetent actions, and in many cases bowing to the will of a particular prominent booster rather than putting actual consideration into the right choices to field a successful program. UT has slowly been killing its cash cow. Not on purpose, IMO, just through sheer stupidity.

I've not claimed Fulmer is the savior. A lot will be determined on the intelligence of his decisions.

No one is seeking a "white whale" but what we are seeking is relevancy in the SEC and a coordinator who has beaten Saban as a head coach brings relevancy. This notion that UT can't hire a top notch coach is nonsense. It may cost them twice the going rate but what does a decade of suckness cost a university? Much more than a 2 million dollar coordinator I can assure you
