I've seen this "upstaging" theory a few times. I dont understand how a 5 win team hiring an OC would in any way upstage Bamas SEC title. Weather it happens today or if it happened while the game was still being played. I don't think they give 2 *****, pretty sure the only people that do are UT fans.Today or tomorrow sounds about right. That's time enough for Coach Pruitt to confidently decide on his choice and gives his old Head Coach Saban and Alabama a few days to celebrate their championship without any perception of trying to upstage.
How could a bottom tier team getting an offensive cordinater possibly upstage an SEC championship?Today or tomorrow sounds about right. That's time enough for Coach Pruitt to confidently decide on his choice and gives his old Head Coach Saban and Alabama a few days to celebrate their championship without any perception of trying to upstage.
The future is Unknown. Yeah yeahI'm going back and forth between a euphoric and nervous anticipation. My brain is telling me that one of the realities of being a TN fan this century is soul crushing disappointment so expect a Friend type of hire. My heart is telling me that times have changed and we really are going to reel in that big fish named Hugh Freeze so it's okay to start hooting and hollering.
It's the enteral conflict of the Volunteer soul
When Mike Debord was named OC there was a meltdown and he turned out the be a very good coach. So regardless of who Pruitt picks I will support him.
