Chris Low also said that Saban has an extremely high view of Freeze as a football coach. As everyone knows, he wanted to hire him last year. He brought Freeze in to show him what it is that Freeze did offensively that was so successful against them. Freeze demonstrated it on a whiteboard and Low said that many things that Freeze taught Saban that day are in Bama's offense this year.

Freeze is as elite as it gets as OC. We pair him with Pruitt and we might have the best coaching staff in college football

yes.

on the other hand, i think Harrelson is dropping stuff on Drink and Lindsay as well...no hints, but posting stuff about their back grounds, some testimonial type stuff. i don't think he's as connected as Low, but i do think there's some version of "testing the waters" so they know as much as they possibly can about "reaction"....and how maybe to prepare for it.

so to take stock this morning,

C low and his "group", mainly swain and RTI, saying 24/48 hours, Freeze right in the thick of it, if not leading....seems price and JS are in this group as well.

Harrellson putting out "the more you know" type pieces out about drink and lindsay.

Hyams saying "maybe by the 19th it'll be done with someone"


so take your pick. one of these groups is gonna be right.

Bruin was asking about Anthony Lynn last night...he was the OC for Buffalo a couple of years ago before getting the Chargers job. He was a dynamic playcaller to say the least. He had Tyrod Taylor and LeSean McCoy in so many awesome formations it was a joy to watch. I remember mentioning on here back then how great he was calling an offense. Glad he is having success even if it is a more conventional offense with Rivers.

He didn’t call plays for long either did he? Only one or two seasons? Iirc they had the number 1 rushing offense that season
