Lol. $7 a gallon for gas, a little less for diesel. I don’t blame them I’d be pissed too.

Angry French... many pillows will die...
Oh but mother nature, blah blah blah. Funny how they chose food amd basic needs over the planet and global warming

It's a lot more complicated than that. You think the reason is that people naturally prefer a more nationalist and free market economic approach.

I think it's a reverberation caused by the increasing disparity in wealth between the top class and the middle class, and in particular the middle class coming to realize that the odds of advancing, no matter your talent or hard work, are slim.
So you are saying the leftist policies they endured led to a stagnating middle class and that pissed them off? Interesting.

Paris looks like a war zone. French security forces have lost control of the situation. How longer before Macron abandons the fuel tax and resigns?

He needs to be ousted. He’s a globalist trying to finance free meal tickets for all the immigrants he takes in for Soros...at the expense of the French blue collar people...

If this were happening in Russia, media would be all over it shouting “Putin’s evil regime”...

If this were in Russia it wouldn't have continued past 11/17. If protesters had done the damage they've done in Paris the last two weekends in Moscow, OMON units would have resorted to live ammunition well before now.

Macron not working out like everyone thought?

He is trying to implement economic reforms which are hugely unpopular. What has sparked the worst unrest in France since May 1968 is the fuel tax that he is trying to pass. The BBC is reporting that he is meeting with security officials and could implement a state of emergency if the situation isn't contained but a government official said he will not bow to pressure on the fuel price tax.

Do you not find it interesting that all these countries that were hard left are now driving hard right? Perhaps it’s bc that **** doesn’t work.

Just like here, countries sway from left to right politically after they get tired of one side.

I always look for specifics and never get it. What EXACTLY are these taxes going toward? All you hear is “investment in green energy”. What exactly does that mean? No response.

No offense, but that is a stupid question for a message board. You are asking a bunch of people who aren't in the business for specifics. General propositions are all that you can reasonably expect, but then you know this and think this "gotcha" question is some sort of game changer when everybody else recognizes it for what it is.
