Freeze is more problematic than Schiano in a lot of ways. Schiano denied any knowledge, was never charged, and never determined to have fault. Freeze admitted knowledge, was found guilty, and sanctioned. If I was an administrator, I'd have a much harder time explaining Freeze to the fan base rather than Schiano. But at the end the administration needs to realize this is not about forgiveness or morality or any such thing. The complaints against Schiano was really based on the fact that no one thought he could win here, while Freeze is getting a pass from the fan base because he had a good run at Mississippi.

Not quite the case you state. Too much in it to argue, but it would be much simpler to argue for Freeze than Schiano. And it was not just that we thought Schiano could not win here. When children or young people are involved, we harder to convince. Freeze has suffered way more than Schiano ever did. He has paid for his mistake.

So the update for tonight is that there is no update.

No one is blocking a Freeze hire. Freeze and Lindsey remain he two most talked about guys. Pruitt has spoken with both (he talkes to Lindsey throughout the year).

Sources have told me all day and continue to say that Pruitt hasn't made a decision on who he wants to hire as his OC.

So the waiting continues (as expected). The question is who else if anyone that Pruitt is going to visit with or speak to.
