Don't think of it as spending $70 for this Christmas; think of it as spending $70 for all the Christmases. I bought mine years ago and every time I haul it out I'm happy all over again. I spent many many years hating the screws, and then one year the tree fell over and I bought the expensive stand in a fit of rage and I'll be damned if it's not one of my favorite parts of the whole holiday now. You can put the tree up one handed by yourself. Glorious.
