Get Ready For The National Media Bash!

I say this with all due respect but take that freaking loser attitude out of here.

We as a program have done everything the right way and all we get is ridiculed and talked down to cause we’re Tennessee.

That name used to mean something in the CFB world and now it’s time to make the best hire possible and start getting back to where we were.

So again with all due respect, no one cares about a coach banging hookers. It’s time to win

I mean, hiring Freeze isn't even the 'wrong' way, so the other dude's post is a waste of time.

Oh, bullshite. Have to look past the hype or you'll look as dumb as it does.

Schiano was a crap coach outside of Ray Rice. Please show me different if I'm wrong.
That was the main reason he was abhorred by the masses, outside of non-football folks. With the current "my sensitivities are outraged so off with their heads" climate, generated by attorneys et al, it was an easy segue from there to unresolved Penn State connection accusations.
Freeze is a "sinner" that's paid his for his transgressions and the slate is clean.

I oppose anyone connected to the Penn State mess, period. To me, there's no coming clean off of being around, and to my mind undoubtedly doing nothing to stop, child rape. On top of that we have his repeatedly highlighted record of abusiveness to players and staff under his watch. No thanks.

I don't see the Freeze situation as the same at all. Homerism or not, say what you will, but I thought it was only worth a laugh when it all went down- not outrage like at Pedo State.

I will be the first to admit that I didnt want Greg Schiano because I think he sucks. Most of our fans tried to play the moral high ground and say they didnt want him because of the things that happened at PSU. If we hire Coach Freeze, are you prepared for our program to be run through the mud from ALL the national pundits? We will get massacred!
F*** 'em. Bama crown prince Nick Saban wanted to bring him in last season and the Commish quashed it. If Saban and his home for wayward coaches had been successful you would have seen all kinds of excuse making from the media for him and how he was just trying to give Hugh Freeze a leg up for the future.

After the last coaching search, I bet we are all just numb to what the press does with this story. Don’t be naive, if for some reason we don’t hire Freeze, the media will be reporting that Tennessee missed the boat on this and go through a list of how it would have been a home run hire, flip it, they would report that our program is hypocrites. Don’t give a damn what they think or report. They don’t ride in our boat as far as our program goes.

The media is going to slam us if we hire him, if we don’t but considered hiring him, and if we didn’t and we missed the boat and he goes elsewhere.

So we might as well take the wins with the beatings

Exactly, f$&k’em, these are the same media people who told us to sit down and shut up and be thankful we’re even getting a coach cause no one wanted to come here.

So they can take a long walk off a short pier

To their point UT hired a guy that had never been a head coach....

Look, dude presents himself as a man of God, bangs a bunch of hookers, repents publicly and next thing you know he's right back in the pulpit and on TV and making serious bank. Oh wait, that was Jimmy Swaggart. Either way, hey, you move on and people forget. Or rationalize. Or just stop giving a damn. We be a'ight.

We're not running a youth ministry here. This is major college football and the stakes are high. I say hire the man!

One happened and the other is hearsay.

The one that's hearsay involves grown men raping young boys. That happened, just don't have any proof the dude could have prevented it. Or said anything. Or knew anything about it.

But some or all is possible, just don't know. But whatever, he cool.

I wouldn't care about their opinion even if I wanted Freeze. The reason UT goes for Freeze is if they are serious about winning. It will be about like the reaction to Urban. They will talk about it for a few a days pretty heavy. Then a few times until the offense started clicking. Winning cures all. Sports media has moved on from Urban and they will move on if we hire Freeze.
