Over Lindsey, McClendon maybe not but over Drink yes. Whoever Pruitt thinks fits the room I'll ride regardless. I think it's going to be Lindsey anyway.

I've never seen it reported from a news outlet that he did. I can't imagine the media would neglect to blow that up if that was the case.
I think people want to believe that it was for players but I think it was for himself. Not to be mean but have you seen his wife.

Biggest PR hit the program ever took was everything that happened on and off the field from 2008-present. Hiring Hugh Freeze is a drop in the bucket.

I don't think he'll be the guy but we aren't in a position to be real protective of the program's image. We're already a joke.

I’m not trying to get political on this forum, but Trump is quite polarizing, especially for the minority and inner city communities. So normally I don’t think it would hurt a coach, but Leach hosted political rallies for him and things to that effect. He’s gone above and beyond.

I think it would be used against him. It might not matter now at WSU where he’s getting 3 star guys who are lucky to get a high PAC 12 offer, but if he has to recruit elite guys it would become a factor. Just my opinion.

If he gets kids to play in Washington for him with those views, probably won’t matter in Georgia either.

I didn’t know about his “open Trump support,” but I don’t see why any kid should care one way or the other. News flash to the youngins: you are going to work with and for people with all sorts worldviews. Get over it.

Freeze didn't even get a show cause. Petrino at Louisville hired strippers/hookers for players and recruits. He basically killed his career. I would think if he had provided hookers for players/recruits, he sure as heck would have gotten a show cause.

Sure - but again, we’re talking about the margins. If, say, Freeze is 10% better than Lindsey in Pruitts mind - Let’s just say that’s the case - is 10% worth the PR hit?

Also, is it worth taking that hit for a guy with no assurances that he’s not simply using your job as a springboard for another job?

Georgia Tech is a 3 star haven also. Main reason I doubt the move.
