This will an interesting thread to revisit the next time there is moral outrage over a rival coach’s or player’s unethical or deplorable behavior.

If they want to get this program back on track, these are the kind of hires they are going to have to make. That means for once setting their haughty pride on the side.

If it ends up being someone else, he might as well not bother buying a home in Knoxville.

You really think that it was just for himself when his program was already giving athletes all kinds of illegal benefits as cited by NCAA? Please tell me you’re not that naive

That was going on before he got there, see Houston Nutt. In any event, he already served his suspension for that and it only pertains to head coaching positions and not the offensive coordinator position which he is the proven best candidate for and the topic of this thread.
His accomplishments on the field speak for themselves and that is the topic of discussion.

You pay for it with a GF or a wife. Gotta buy them dinner. Take them for entertainment. Gifts. Etc.

If you did a cost/benefit analysis between a prostitute and a girlfriend......the prostitute wins every time (on paper).
UT wins a lot of games on paper. Must be a sign from God.

The guy personally arranged prostitutes for 18-21 year old college athletes. Let that sink in if your a parent of a recruit considering Tennessee if he’s our OC
so what you are saying is the recruits would flock here if he is hired! I hate coaching searches, the fan base is always split on who they want to come in. Then there’s the ups and downs of a big name coming in only to hear the announcement and have to hit up google to see who the guy is.

If you actually realize what the NCAA nailed Ole Miss for, it wasn't much. There was no huge smoking gun (ala Logan Young, Cecil Newton, etc.); it was mostly a bunch of minor crap that accumulated. It was Bama grads that ran and managed the OM investigation. OM was guilty of beating Bama in back to back years.....

With that being said, there was obviously cheating going on beyond what the NCAA actually found....

Ole Miss went from 2-10 to 7-6 in his first year. Guess he didnt need better player to do his job effectively. Weird how that works for good coaches.
You do realize that is just 1 more regular season win then we had this season. He beat the three really bad out of conference teams.... a 3 win Auburn team, and a 4 win Arkansas team..... The only decent win by Ole Miss was beating 23 ranked Miss State.....

I’m ok with freeze but man was he cheating on a large scale and not very good at it. He is about as fake as they get.

Your last sentence is what’s relevant

Read the case. He went along with it but the system was already in place.
