I just don't see the downside if he comes. If he can't win the starting job, then so be it. However, I think he has proven plenty by being the starting and winning QB on Alabama's team. He got beat out, but OK, who wouldn't?

I think the writing on the wall is Lindsey. Especially with the Auburn news this afternoon.

I have been negative toward Lindsey but I just realized he was at auburn last year as well. Shame on my ignorance as I thought this was his first year there.

Makes me feel better knowing he called those plays last year on that team

I'm sure he wants back in the SEC in a big way and I'm sure he will get back in someday. I just believe that if UT hired him the national media would have a field day comparing his hire to the Schiano ordeal. You can almost hear the stories now :):). They would drag us through the mud forever and it has nothing to do with his abilities to be a good hire. There's plenty of good candidates that we can go after and hit a homerun. I doubt Fulmer wants that kind of press this early in his tenure as AD.

Lindsey is an enigma. Offense was great last year, terrible this year. Don't know how much Malzahn is involved to know if he's a good coordinator or not. I also don't know how good of a QB coach he is. Last year Stidham was good, this year, not so good. I mean, we could always have Weinke coach QB's and shift some staff around.

He does check the experience box. Apparently he's a good recruiter also. He's also bald, so he'd fit right in. What are yall's thoughts?
