Pat Washington, Fulmer’s WR coach for 11 years, is on staff with McClendon at USC. I wonder if he’s passing along any information.

That is actually a good point. Well done. But still, he could be hired Friday, even if he wants to stay.

I think if he's the guy it will
Go down the same way it went with Sherrer. He gets taken off the road and we all
Know it's happening but it's not official until the season is over

The better discussion is would JM, Lindsey or Mcclendoon leave their post before the bowl games??

I feel certain enos wouldn't

How does one copy and paste a tweet? I know how to copy / paste a link, but some of you smart ones can get it to show up without clicking a link.

I just wonder how a hire like this gets made. Does Pruitt call these guys, meet up, then call Fulmer and tell him the decision?

Does Fulmer want a part in the interview? I’m sure he’ll sign off on whatever Pruitt decides.

I just wonder how fast something like this could be done.

IDT it's going to be a long, complicated process. Pruitt's going to hire someone he knows, is comfortable with and will be a seamless fit with what he wants to do. They're looking for harmony and stability. That makes it a short list. This has been brewing for a while, so I'm sure Pruitt and Fulmer have discussed the direction to take and the guys that would be a good fit. UT will vet, as needed, Pruitt will take meetings, Fulmer will do the meet-and-greet, approve and they'll work a deal. I think it'll be very low-key and handled out of the public eye, as Pruitt prefers.

Is there a fear that recruiting would suffer with Freeze because of his past?

He was a tremendous recruiter. But was it primarily due to his cheating?

He wouldn’t be cheating anymore (presumably)

And we get the added bonus of negative recruiting against him with Christian or conservative families worried about their son.

Idk what that effect would be. Could be minor, major or just a non-factor. Hard to say

Edit: I should also add that he seems really well connected to several important high schools in the south
