the problem with Mcclendon is that he fancies himself as a HC, probably sooner than later. at some point, i do think continuity/consistency, has to be a factor.I think McClendon would be willing to take the gig for a substantial raise not because its a better program @BassmasterVol #moneytalks

Mcclendon would be a good hire. good recruiter. just not sure it's quite the match we may need. would feel more like a band aid.....
My sources tell me that Dooley doesn't flush so I would expect @Chief Vol 13 to throw his support that way.I am waiting to hear from @Chief Vol 13 who the best candidate is based upon name alone.
Let's be honest Dool's was a terrible head coach for us but Mizzou's offense has been pretty dang solid this year, I'm sure a lot of that is due to the fact Lock is a top notch QB but we could do worse than Dooley at OC (even though I know he's not being looked at as an option and I may get flamed for the previous statement)My sources tell me that Dooley doesn't flush so I would expect @Chief Vol 13 to throw his support that way.

Yea, that was more thrown at Chief than Dooley. I agree Dooley has done a nice job there this year. Will be interesting to see if it continues next year.Let's be honest Dool's was a terrible head coach for us but Mizzou's offense has been pretty dang solid this year, I'm sure a lot of that is due to the fact Lock is a top notch QB but we could do worse than Dooley at OC (even though I know he's not being looked at as an option and I may get flamed for the previous statement)
I don't want McElwain for two reasons:
1. I don't trust his offense after Florida. I get that he did well at Alabama, but who doesn't?
2. I just don't like the dude.
There are better options. Freeze, Enos, even Lindsey would be better imo.
