Freeze's current base salary as Offensive Coordinator for the Arizona Hotshots is similar to what we were paying Helton as OC, so that is a non-issue.

Well those people got their wish about Helton. I really hope it works out for us. Although I highly doubt it. Many wanted Debord gone. We saw how that worked out.

Sam Pittman is a great OL coach but Jones screwed that up, Will Friend is an average OL coach at best.

And Bob Shoop is a horrible DC based on his time at UT. Might want to give Friend the benefit of the doubt after one season with mostly Butch Jones tainted players. Those guys weren't going to turn into good players overnight.

Huge difference between the 2 situations. Shoop came here with a reputation as a top notch DC. Friend is a respected OL coach but not considered top notch for it much less for an OC.

Both Fulmer and Pruitt signaled in the off season that this was not a good football team.

I didn’t want to believe it, but it was apparent by the time we finished getting pushed around by ETSU.

I think it'll be Lindsey at Auburn. Freeze and Malzahn are great friends and Pruitt/Lindsey have a good history working together. I'm not ruling out Freeze and hope we get him but Auburn looks like a likely destination for him if he's allowed to return to the SEC which I think he will be. I'd love for us to get Kitchens as I think he's perfect except for the Alabama ties. He's a good coach and fit but likely not to happen. Friend wouldn't be a shock but it would be a disappointment to our fanbase, especially with the negavols.

Pruitt and Lindsay worked a lot together huh??
