Trey Wallace just reported "Hugh Freeze VERY interested in the TN OC job".

Makes me made because he got a text message when he was on the air and immediately said "I've got some breaking news". Then turned around and said wait I can't release it yet. When his co-hosts busted his chops a little he said " I got a text I thought I could go public with but I can't yet." That is when he said that Freeze is very interested and that's all he could say.
Which tells me

Hugh Freeze 100% not interested

The thing with Friend, Osovet, or Enos would be their “on the job” training as an OC would be here which is concerning. We just went through that with Helton and Pruitt. We need an experienced play caller who has been through situations commanding an offense against SEC caliber defenses. The players need that steady confident hand to guide them.

Personally after listening to Trey Wallace I think we might take a swing at Freeze. Not sure if we'll get him or not. If we missed on Freeze I would expect Chip Lindsey to be next on the list. I'm feeling a little better that we aren't just going to promote Friend. Not saying Friend won't end up with it but at least there is a little smoke out there that Pruitt isn't just going down the hall as a first option.

Did Enos not call plays at Arkansas?

It wouldn't be on the job training for Enos....

Agreed. I’ve said my concern with this staff is the Peter Principle. Someone with actual success in their position as opposed to theoretical would add better balance.

Sorry you said you'd be ok with it but not friend or Chaney

Makes zero sense but you are entitled to your opinion
I said if we are promoting from within I’d rather have Osovet than Friend. But no, I’d take Chaney over him of course, but would rather go after someone else. I don’t think Chaney is very good
