Regarding Dooley and Bray, that came from plenty of sources if I remember correctly. That's a player mentality and lack of player leadership. I'm sure Dooley had some contribution to that with body language or even actual attitude.

Butch, cant recall the rumors out of that one.

This week, the sources are the players. Not message board fodder. Players are to blame for the effort issue. I find plenty of fault at the OC spot though. Too many play calls were straight trash. Should Pruitt have yanked the playcalling from him? idk.

I'd prefer to see continuity but if Helton is going to call the trash he does without a direction, I'd rather see his ass gone. Makes you think back to debord and Chaney. they had a plan, they had a purpose. seemed like Helton was playing madden and choosing from one of three options.

@HankHill This is truth..rant all you want...Lombardi, Walsh, Belicheki nor Noll was gettin crap out of this roster Saturday..they were done and wanted to go goof off for Christmas instead of practicing and playing in a "crappy bowl"

Well, their OC is pretty good. If Mason leaves I wouldn’t be upset if Pruitt hired him as OC at UT.

Interesting. He’d probably do well there. He’s done well at Vandy, IMO, but it’s just a really tough place to win big. At Vandy, 6-6 with a win over the Vols is winning big.

Speaking of Mason, who else remembers his team getting absolutely drummed at home by Temple his first season?

You’re right man. Pruitt and staff are absolutely not at fault for not being competitive in half our games this year.

I enjoyed that. Despite what he has done against Tennessee the last three years, I don't believe he is a very good head coach. Average at best. His ceiling is likely 6-6 or 7-5 at Vandy, but for every one of those years he will have a 5-7 or 4-8.

I agree with this. Think he and JG were both dealing with some lingering issues. MC just seemed off his usual game. Hope he sticks around for next year, but also think he’ll have some good opportunities if he decides to head to the draft.

I don't care how good of a coach he is, I would like to see him at Colorado instead of waxing our ass.
