I said it and I may be wrong but it feels like I may be right?
I think what were sensing was not necessarily what you said. I think Pruitt knew from practice this week that that this was going to be a loss, and there was not a damn thing he could do about it, so yeah..just get on with getting new guys in here, and get some people that want to actually play football, instead of college athlete.

Correct, I’ve already said that. But key word is SOME, and “not everyone”, I’m not denying there are some cancers or that some don’t don’t care. But to trash the whole team and call them quitters is stupid
Yeah I jumped the gun n went back n deleted my response. I got trigger happy sorry

Yup. I’m sure after dominating Kentucky they decided to quit because “F football” even tho they worked out everyday under Pruitt. Seems logical. But trashing players and making up stuff about them seems to be the norm around here. We should get rid of Tae and Thompson too cuz they played bad so clearly they quit the final two weeks

They are freshman who started out of necessity and need off season S and C badly. Guys on the field are not the quitters. Those who provide depth and dance while we are losing are the ones to look at. These problems have been growing for awhile and I posted about it even before the Auburn game. Some just have not bought in and at this point, they will go or be told to go.

I think Tae and Thompson simply hit the freshman wall ..and yes a lot of guys quit..period.

Damnation...you are deaf. I have said 500 times that it is not everyone on the team, but there are not enough to matter or change the overall squad.

Ah. Well, I think we have to consider the source. That might be true of Brandon, but he actually has done nothing but make excuses for his cousin since he got here. I am guessing he will be one of the players to leave. I appreciate what Brandon has done, but his PT slipped a lot this year. Palmer and Callaway both seemed to improve a lot. I did not see enough of Brandon to make a judgment.

Last I will address and doing so cause you are a regular poster. Been hearing about these issues early in season. Coaches tried but couldn’t get all to buy in or others who got out worked and checked out. Not just stuff from uncle greasy. Also, saw a couple of guys who do start seemed to be checked out yesterday when needing to do some of the let’s say, less than flashy work. Been hearing one of those guys will be leaving and turning pro regardless. He well get drafted but was protecting himself against Vandy. Not a cancer but will be gone.

The starters aren’t the ones quitting, the guys that played in all 12 games aren’t the ones quitting, the guys that worked their ass off all offseason aren’t the ones quitting. It’s hard to overcome 2 years of no accountability or S&C. To trash the entire team because of SOME players is idiotic and wrong. Get ready cuz 50+ players will likely be back next year

Who was dancing?

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ The ones that don’t care are the ones that didn’t care vs WVU. They didn’t suddenly decide to go beat Auburn, Kentucky and almost pull an upset at William-Brice but quit the rest of the games

It takes a team, and the Vols didn't have enough players who gave full effort consistently and it held back those who did. Pruitt said it multiple times-- he didn't have enough guys who did things the right way and was forced to play some who didn't. We're going to have a very young team next year, but maybe they'll play with greater intensity and effort. It already seems like there'll be some leaders who'll step up and set standards early.

This shouldn't be suprising. These same issues happened at Bama and UGA in yr 1 of Saban/smart. Smart had a real battle yr 1 with the Richt guys that were complacent. Once he had two classes in for yr 2 it was clearly a difference in attitude and play

You’re looking at lack of talent and proper S&C for years as quitting. You really think Pruitt is gonna start players that don’t give af? He benched Sham for the majority of the season for that reason, and barely played at all until we had a bunch of injuries in the secondary. I mean, he started TK over him

I get that some of these guys weren’t recruited by the current staff and dont like them

They have a choice bc the previous staff wasn’t getting it done. A change was made and they can either be adults, man up and get better or be whiny ass little babies and quit. I personally wish they would hurry the hell up and be gone
