Tennessee is going NOWHERE with JG

We can agree on this.

Also, I will add and I think others have noticed that JG appears to never be discussing strategy on the sideline in between series. Most QBs are on the phones, talking to teammates about mistakes and good plays. If JG doesn't appear rash rash then I am not seeing communication when the cameras pan over there.
Pruitt moved the OC to the sideline several weeks ago. He could be talking to him in person. Because of distance, I see few games in person so I only see the rare clips from TV coverage. Have you noticed him not talking to Helton?

I don’t think our answer at QB is currently on the roster. Maurer maybe. IMO they need to go out and get an elite signal caller.
Pruitt has made a couple of comments about Shrout that at least raise a little hope. One in particular is that he said Shrout anticipated throws the best out of the 3. If true, that would be a significant strength that compares to a significant JG weakness.

With this Oline that would be a major strength moving forward.

You might be right. They don't always show the sideline.

Plz see yourself to the door
This aggressive twilightesque fan girl "Team Guarantano" crap has gone on long enough. Just like his "on the job training". How long does it take to "develop" into a quality SEC qb?

According to them, he's just a sophomore, last year he was a freshman thrown into a tough situation. They conveniently forget what a redshirt means, and the implied year of development that goes with it. It doesn't count. To be fair though, he played like a true freshman...and still does.

The level of excessive force and misdirection in their narrative has become more transparent than the a$$hole of a moon jellyfish.

According to his fanbase ... He MUST have the job next year, and the next. It's critical to his development! The rest of us must deal with that.

Spoiler alert! The preceding sentence just gave away 50% of the material "DG' takeaway from Vandy" column.

The other 50% is a completion percentage manifesto.

The fact that he cant lead a receiver on a deep ball isn't his arm strength? Then what is it? The receivers have to stop and come back for the ball every single time regardless if there is pressure or not.
It's the inexplicable eephus pitch he throws because his technique sucks under pressure. Either that or he throws the worst deep ball in FBS.

For all the talk of arm talent, toughness or standing tall in the face of pressure, his mechanics break down severely far too often. It leads to severe and chronic underthrowing, an abundance of unnecessary 50/50 balls, and those eephus deliveries that at least twice this year have left TV commentators dumbstruck by the ridiculous airtime vs lack of distance.

Or maybe he throws the best knuckle ball in fbs

You people need to take off the orange tinted glasses.

We have no QB for the future.
No OL
No RB
No WR
No Defense

We just lost to Radio for the 3rd straight time. Our opponents do not even laugh at us anymore. Even worse, some are beginning to pity us.

I compare JG to Drew Richman in the fact that neither one can play their position to the level that Tennessee needs to be successful. I also do not believe more time will allow either one to play at a higher level.

If there is a Grad transfer out there that is elite get him in here to be the QB giving the freshman and Shrout another season to get up to playing at the college level. JG just to many busted plays, incompetent decisions, and failure to take what the defense gives him. He seems to have no knowledge of reading defenses, changing plays, or using the second or third option. With him it is all locking in on the play called regardless of formations by the defense.

I think you have to open up the QB competition for next year. JG did nothing to lock it down. Some of it not his fault, but plenty of it was.

My hope is Jalen Hurts comes in as a grad transfer but that would mean that JG would probably transfer out. That gives one of the younger guys a season behind him to learn and grow.
