SMH..you will never admit how bad this roster is/was no matter how much evidence of it is shoved in your face will you?

It doesn’t make sense to admit that. The previous coach builds the best roster in east for two years but then every player after that still on roster is garbage. I don’t buy that and people didn’t buy that before the year started either. Is our roster great? Hell no. But it’s good enough to be mediocre and win 6 games.

Not with the attitude cancer it's not. Too many guys don't care.

That’s on the coaches too man. It’s your job as a coach to motivate and hold a team together. They failed in that aspect.
You CAN NOT motivate guys who will not, and don't want to be motivated. That is not on the staff, that is on the individual...period.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

Not at all. But the guy made nearly 0 progress this year. I withheld judgement too long on Butch even though the signs were there. This time I'm saying Pruitt was a crappy hire and he's a crappy coach. Hope he proves me wrong but I'm pretty confident he won't.

He made just as much progress as $75m Jimbo Fisher made at Texas A&M in his first season, which was a +1 improvement in wins, and made more progress than Moorehead did at MSU (0). And certainly more than Morris at Arkansas (-2). Jimbo and Moorehead took over programs with winning cultures and plenty of talent, yet neither were able to improve their team's record more than Pruitt did a UT, and Moorehead didn't improve his team's record at all, yet along with Mullen I was told all offseason what fantastic hires. Pruitt, a first year HC, is having to completely overhaul this program from the ground up and improved his team's winning record by 1 game, same as Fisher, and more than Moorehead. I think BVS keeps some of you from any sort of rational thinking.

So basically what you’re saying is:

After assembling a roster best in the east for two years, every player butch recruited is either not good enough or a loser. And the current staff is not to blame at all

“The roster” is not a valid excuse for getting blown out by a 5-6 Vanderbilt team. It really should only apply to 4 games, especially when you beat Auburn and Kentucky with that roster.
Whatever...you and every other coach blamer is blind to the cancer on this squad. Guys who came here to goof off, not try real hard to win football games. I'm shocked Pruitt was able to drag performances like UK anf AU out of this squad.

Ha! Full credit for Auburn and Kentucky, completely blameless for...everything else.

We went 5-7 in a year we were favored in 3 games. We beat two ranked opponents, one on the road. Far from perfect and growth and staff adjustments are needed, but this isn’t a dumpster fire season either.
About what we thought just disappointed to see the lack of effort.
