The biggest question I have is how today's game and the possible departure of Helton will effect recruiting? I just hope some of these recruits see our obvious need for talent and realize they can, and most likely will, see early playing time. Our team is very much a land of opportunity.

I would gladly take Larry Fedora as OC when UNC fires him. Would help with recruiting too.

Heavy pass. Fedora is an oddball and would not fit in with Pruitts offensive style or demeanor.

He’s getting the ax tomorrow morning though so someone will pick him up.

I dont think Helton leaving will do anything to recruiting but help. But these last 2 games absolutely hurts us there is 0 doubt. Spare me the playing time, because it doesnt matter when there is no effort or emotion involved.

Is Pruitt just free of blame now that he's firing the OC? We just went through this guys. Hopefully he doesn't hire Debord.

Get this Bama loser off my field.

Going through some old reports when Pruitt was first hired and there were multiple things out there about Dan Enos and Chip Lindsey. We could probably get either of those guys.

Silver lining... it shows that fulmer and the brass are ok with throwing money around and stability for assistants. So it gives me faith that Pruitt will get whoever he wants again. Shouldn’t have to settle.

Yeah, but I doubt they're okay with throwing money around. I think they viewed the staff concessions as an investment, and the ROI has been disappointing. Fulmer put himself on the line, giving a rookie HC staffing autonomy, and the most important, most expensive hire turned out to be a bad decision. Buyouts are costly, and UT has had a lot of them. Fortunately, Helton probably wants out so they may be able to negotiate terms.
