He didn't pull punches. To paraphrase, he said Vandy wanted it more. He said players don't always show up on Saturdays and didn't show up today. He said the Vols are inconsistent on defense, offense and STs, have been all year and some players haven't bought-in. He said we need to recruit some new guys and get them to buy-in.

And he said he was proud to wear the T and is grateful to have played for UT. He's a class guy and it's sad to see his career end like this.

Promote Will Friend to playcaller, hire a QB coach. Tee Martin (it that staff is fired) and Doug Nussmeier come to mind.

Hire an outside offensive coordinator: Nussmeier and McElwain have both coached with Pruitt at Alabama. Maybe go after Freeze if the SEC allows. Fulmer has coached with him before. We tried to hire both Enos and Locksley before they decided on Alabama last season - maybe go after one of them again?

We’re going to hire someone explicitly committed to the pro style, game managing, power run system Alabama has historically run. Helton could not or would not fully commit to it.

I could see Will Friend promotion, change of Weinke to QB coach, and then a RB coach hire for recruiting abilities
