Weird because the roster wasn’t a problem against Auburn, Kentucky, or South Carolina.

Looks to me like Pruitt and company got their ass handed to them by Derek Mason.

Every time this team played a quality QB they were torched. No experience at corner and embarrassing defensive and offensive line play this year.

Maybe my negativity comes from the absolute ****** sports week this has been but why in the hell should I think there is any sort of light at the end of the tunnel? It’s the same cycle over and over. New coach comes in and “oh this roster sucks he can’t compete, wait till the new guy gets his players in” and then he gets his guys in and the team still sucks and then the new coach comes in and it’s “oh this roster sucks he can’t compete, wait till the new guy comes in and gets his players” and then that roster apparently sucks too so what it is? Are we just so far down the hole we can’t recruit at a high level enough to compete for titles? Because it’s year 20 of not winning **** and I’m at the point where it’s obvious nationally Tennessee isn’t elite and Tennessee doesn’t matter.

I’m a big picture guy. I think you’ve got to step back a little from individual games. I didn’t freak out when they turned it over a bunch times against Florida and I didn’t get overexcited when Auburn did the same against us. What we saw this season is a team that was flat out doodoo in the trenches against damn near everyone, from Charlotte on up. We got whipped on both lines over and over all year. Nothing else is going to matter until we fix that, and nothing is likely to fix it except roster turnover.

Yes we’re that far down the hole. Tennessee hasn’t mattered for a long time.

The cycle sucks but there’s really nothing else to do but rinse and repeat until you finally hire a good coach. It’s not like we’ve pulled the plug on anyone too early without giving him a chance.
