Reading a lot of kids trending away from us, which is what I figured after Mizz... tomorrow is going to be huge. Not getting the feels on this class... hope I am wrong, but it is beginning to smell a lot like last year when there was a lot of hype around a bunch of high-tier recruits and we whiffed on almost all of them. We need guys like Wright.

Has anyone who has made fun of Kessling and the Vol Network (and this includes me) ever listened to other college radio networks?

On my Sirius XM they always use home teams radio networks and MAN! there are some God Awful announcers out there!!! I was just listening to the Iowa Nebraska call and the Iowa network forced me to have to punch myself in the nuts.

Not saying we shouldn’t criticize Kessling, but he is not nearly the worst out there. Not even close.

Wow. You must not listen a lot , wake forest has a Knoxville native who is very good, Fla State guy that also does Tampa Bay is very good, the Auburn, Vandy and LSU guys are all MUCH better than Bob.

I m pretty sure it ss true. I remember it being reported at the time that Butch didn't want to get rid of any of the defensive position coaches, or change up Jancek's schemes. And Shoop also talked about having to learn the defensive language of the previous DC so the players wouldn't have to learn a new defense and language. Stoops and Stripling supposedly never jelled, which is why Hoke was brought in and Stripling moved to an admin role.

Last year, using the 247 composite our class was 20th with a 87.54 ranking.

Right now, we are 15th with a 89.64 in the composite.

Using Rivals, last year we finished 20th with a 3.22 star rating.

This year we are 11th with a 3.55 star rating.

We are trending with a 5* OT in Wright. The War Room last night indicated we are a real factor with 4* LB Marshall. They said Eric Gray was a matter of when, not if. Khafre Brown is looking good for us, a 4* WR. Pappoe still is a possibility, and they said again on the podcast today that we may get an OV from Taulia. This year doesn’t feel like last year right now to me.

We aren’t. Austin Price said this morning he doesn’t talk to many writers because it is not his thing. Price even said Farrell and Friedman are guessing because Wright doesn’t answer their calls. He has been spot on so far, so I will take his word.

that's great to hear... we need him with Morris in the worst way. The starting day one scenario has to be a pull for us.

We’re not trending away from Wright at all. VQ mods discussed him on podcast and just said he doesn’t do interviews, answer his phone for almost anyone. Talks with Price occasionally because he’s known his Hs coach for 20 years. Vols still in a good spot here they said but nothing’s done until he signs and that likely won’t be until Feb.

People are just nervous, welcome to recruiting.
