At my core I love Tennessee and want them to win, always will. The last 2 seasons or so I've bottomed out and become numb. But my hope is in CJP, despite being told I need to leave the site because they label me a nega. I think he knows how to win if the players will buy in. I'm not too wild about a position coach or two of his but that's another issue.

Pruitt is just a position coach until he proves otherwise?
I hope Pruitt is a fast study learning to be a HC

I genuinely want the coaches and players to have a good experience in Knoxville, so I cheer for them to do their best and win. When one of them does something stupid, it upsets me, because I want them to experience joy so bad.

I’ll say stuff like “C’mon Drew!” or “Wrap up!” or “There you go Kyle!” and an emphatic fist pump usually follows big plays in critical situations

It is not nice to say, but, I don't think some of these players are very intelligent. Being football smart as some guys are can cover up lots of short comings. But lack of intelligence will show up with the simplest things. Give a guy a little slack for being too excited, but when simple things keep showing up, for me it is a lack of intelligence. You say no, it's discipline, I agree, but good discipline is a sign of good intelligence.
To me just seems like most of these guys have no pride. I could be way off but I just don’t see the right attitude a lot of the time from a lot of these players.

Losing still depresses me, but instead of days it only last a few hours. Winning, however makes me smile for days!
Yeah, I first started following U.T. football in 2001( I was 16 and a little late to the party.) I used to get so mad every time we would lose, I’d yell at the tv and let it piss me off for days. I don’t know if I’ve just matured over the years or if the constant losing has beaten it out of me but now I pretty much watch every game that isn’t against a cupcake with the exception to lose, and usually lose in embarrassing, non competitive fashion. The good news is I don’t get very upset anymore and it doesn’t ruin even an hour for me. I pretty much just turn it off and say “ welp another Vols ass beating, time to drink and do something fun!”

I try and go with the flow. Not always easy. Heck, I am all over the place. I do know a man with a bad heart can't watch most of our games. I hate losing. It makes me sick at my stomach. Like I have always said , you show me someone the doesn't hate losing and I will show you a loser. My wife says I am the most competitive person she has ever met. So the last several years have been hard on me.

Stupid or incompetent drives me crazy. That applies to all aspects on the field, especially officiating. Dirty play against our Vols puts me at my worst so this past Saturday had me fuming.
If away game I am usually watching on TV so I just order a new remote.
Home games sometimes result in my wife's exiting to the concession area. 😁

Haha.

"I once walked across the club to the bar to get a drink and won a dance contest"

I always focus on the younger players to what their talent level is
If it is a close game, I will watch until the end however if it is a close game against Florida, I cut the t v off because a loss is predictable
If it is a blow out by us or by our opponent, I watch til the end to see if we can make a miraculous comeback like against LSU in 2015

The Mizzou game, unfortunately I was there, left me with a strong feeling of apathy for the entire Tennessee program. They simply quit playing! I am a VFL but now an apathetic VFL! Not pumped to see the games and may not ever be! Consistent winning is the only way I can ge my spirit back! We are currently a lower tier program, period!😧

P.S. I left 5 minutes into the 3rd quarter stating "I can't watch this trash anymore"! NEVER LEFT A GAME THAT EARLY!😥

Sometimes I fly off the handle and start cussing and throwing things. I have been making an effort to just walk away and do something else though. It's rough when you're team sucks. Luckily my wife hasn't left me yet.
