At my core I love Tennessee and want them to win, always will. The last 2 seasons or so I've bottomed out and become numb. But my hope is in CJP, despite being told I need to leave the site because they label me a nega. I think he knows how to win if the players will buy in. I'm not too wild about a position coach or two of his but that's another issue.
To me just seems like most of these guys have no pride. I could be way off but I just don’t see the right attitude a lot of the time from a lot of these players. It is not nice to say, but, I don't think some of these players are very intelligent. Being football smart as some guys are can cover up lots of short comings. But lack of intelligence will show up with the simplest things. Give a guy a little slack for being too excited, but when simple things keep showing up, for me it is a lack of intelligence. You say no, it's discipline, I agree, but good discipline is a sign of good intelligence.
Yeah, I first started following U.T. football in 2001( I was 16 and a little late to the party.) I used to get so mad every time we would lose, I’d yell at the tv and let it piss me off for days. I don’t know if I’ve just matured over the years or if the constant losing has beaten it out of me but now I pretty much watch every game that isn’t against a cupcake with the exception to lose, and usually lose in embarrassing, non competitive fashion. The good news is I don’t get very upset anymore and it doesn’t ruin even an hour for me. I pretty much just turn it off and say “ welp another Vols ass beating, time to drink and do something fun!”Losing still depresses me, but instead of days it only last a few hours. Winning, however makes me smile for days!
Me all season long....
