5 or 6 months ago, I filled a quart jar with cherries and then covered them with vodka and forgot about them til now.
Just had one. The cherries are as crisp as the day they came off the tree. However, they stuck as far as taste goes. Lol
I think that's where I screwed up. Shoulda used rum.I used to do that with 151 Bacardi Rum. Queen olives came in a gallon sized jar. I would fill an empty one with the cherries then fill it with 151, called them cherry bombs and sold them at the bar 3 for $1. They were very popular.
*Edit: I let them marinate for 48 hours before I started selling them.
