Doesnt change the fact when we played them. To try and spin the UK win as anything other than a signature win for first year HC Pruitt shows idiocy.
Ok, I'll dial it back just a bit on point 1: Day after day leading up to season on Finebaum, SEC Nation, and other TV and radio outlets, I heard "expert" after "expert" pick us either 6th or 7th in the East, with some of them predicting we would go winless in the league again; I'm sure others heard a variation of this, as well.Weren't picked by very many to be the worst team in the SEC. Arkansas was. Two signature wins in "decades" comment was ridiculous. It's debatable whether or not they've gotten every last ounce out of this team. We do not have the toughest schedule in college football. Most likely A&M, LSU or maybe Mississippi State. All of these comments are homerism on your part.
Also had 30+ recruits to get him there.
Hired December 7. National signing day was February 7. I guess 2 months could be a few weeks depending on your definition of 'few'.I mean he had what, a few weeks? Not surprising he couldn't close a bunch of 5 stars. From the sound of those posts though, they sound like they are trying to convince themselves of the things they are saying.
I think we'll know what we've got by national signing day in Feb 2020. Need to see a big step forward in 2020 season. I'd say if we're no better than 6 or 7 wins in 2020, we need to move on. If there is a 2021 under CJP, it needs to be double digit wins. I guess the short answer is 3-4 seasons depending on tangible progress in recruiting and wins. Are you one of the angry mob? Seriously, how long do you think this staff should have?
I think that is reasonable. I think just about all of us would be concerned if we only win 6-7 in 2020. Another serious question; who did you want us to hire instead of Pruitt?I think we'll know what we've got by national signing day in Feb 2020. Need to see a big step forward in 2020 season. I guess. CJP opened himself to criticism over last year's signing day by chosing to stay with Bama and collect a $234,000 bonus drom the Tide for coaching the BCS championship game. Maybe if he'd given us 100% of his time he might have brought in a couple more guys who could've made the difference against SC and, if necessary, Vandy. I'm not seeing a top 10 class this cycle either. We need some positive momentum. The point remains.
I was on the Kelly bandwagon because he was the big name that I thought we could buy. Other than beating USC, his return to cfb looks like a disaster. One poster in particular , not Beaver, brought some info that made me think Gruden was in play even though that was fool's gold. I would have been very happy with Patterson. If I knew we were going to hire a coordinator, I would've been good with Venables. I would've bought season tickets if they'd hired Leach.I think that is reasonable. Fair enough. Us losing to Missouri does not affect us nearly as much as losing to Vanderbilt and missing a bowl would imo. I haven't seen anything that indicates to me that we have lost any momentum after Saturday so I think we are still okay for the moment. I think a Top 10 class is still very possible.I guess.
