I still have not seen enough evidence to respot the ball. There is no way you can tell in that tangle of players how far forward the ball was advanced. That should have been a "call stands."They had a 50/50 call to send us to a bowl game and didn't give it to us. Proves that either there's no bias to get more teams eligible for bowls or that the refs actually do hate UT. Game was at home, too.
Gotta agree with Bruin here.
I hate that it's so cut-and-dried/black-and-white. Something like judging the success of a season is always filled with ups and downs, and I don't really like giving a grade until the results have been written. But this is about as clear a test as it gets.
I just hope that if we go 5-7 it doesn't mean a chunk of the fanbase folds on this staff. Just because a first-time HC doesn't round out his first year in the best fashion doesn't automatically qualify him as a failure. Nor does it mean we throw all continuity to the wind and fire a coordinator.
I would have been all in on Leach. I am really hoping Pruitt succeeds. He has all the tools. I think he does succeed.I just remember going after Dave D from nC state and wanting to throw my phone out the window.....then getting the news that We we’re talking to leach so i perk up a little bit...then getting news that Leach accepted the job.. and feeling like we had just won the national championship.
Agreed. I think that Schiano was the choice the whole time. I think that Mullen was a smokescreen and they thought they were smarter than everyone else. The coaching search was an elaborate ruse to force Schiano on us. There was no search firm and only deliberate misdirection before arriving at the pre-determined choice from Haslam that blew up . After that it was a fiasco.
