Butch Jones Azzhole puckered up tighter than a snare drum going head to head with the big boys for recruits. Unless TN had some connection he basically did not pursue them. Pruitt on the other hand says to Saban, Smart, Dabo, etc...B95F9F2F-2669-43E0-A579-CB344AB96409.gif

Kentucky is also snake bit against Florida. They got their one win vs UF this year and will probably go 30 years without another. It took our worst two coaches ever to lose to them and we still went 6-2 and now have probably started another win streak.

Not getting the feels right now with recruiting... which is what I expected after Saturday. I believe we still do have some high profile players that have us on the short list, a few silents, but I think by us getting torched, it left several we may have had a legitimate shot with, having second thoughts... a couple folks on here claim the ass whoopin will not hurt us, but I, unfortunately, think otherwise. Saturday is a must win, which is not good...

Going to be intertesting. Reading that Georgia thread a little bit ago was a little reminiscent of our board here after signing day. Many of them said Pruitt was the king at getting top guys to visit, but never could seem to close the deal. So far that's been the case here. We're hearing all about these top players that are supposedly about to flip or commit to Tennessee, but its still not happening. We'll see.

Too many people got too excited too easily. Same thing happened last year before signing day. Just because someone visits doesn’t mean they’re going to commit. Let’s just wait and see how we finish. Top 15 class would be nice.

He’s selling a hope and a dream. Most kids don’t want to jump into that. An overlooked negative from Butch is that he hurt us a lot with overplaying that hand his first two years. UT now has a rep of being a place good players go to disappear unfortunately.

I mean he had what, a few weeks? Not surprising he couldn't close a bunch of 5 stars. From the sound of those posts though, they sound like they are trying to convince themselves of the things they are saying.

Top 15 just isn't good enough to really compete IMO.
