I haven’t watched Vandy play any this year. What kind of offense do they run? Is it more phone booth like Stanford or more spread? Air it out or run?
Father in law watches them play and he felt like they tend to wilt near the fourth quarter. Could be a bloody affair.

What I saw on SECN the FPI says we have a 46% chance.

You know if I had to put a % on it that’s probably what I would say. Close to 50/50, slightly favoring Vandy because they know the pressure is all on us.

Many of us won’t care about this game two years from now one way or the other. But for some fans and posters, their perceptions of Pruitt will become set in stone once this game is over and we will have to hear about it for all eternity if we lose.

Thank goodness Freak developed the ignore feature for times such as these!

If y’all had to rank the top 10 SEC QB’s how would you rank them?

Mine would probably be: 1 Tua
2 Lock
3 Ta’amu
4 Fromm
5 Bentley
6 Stidham
7a Shurmur
7b JG
9 Mond
10 Burrow

DO NOT FIRE ANY COACHES UNLESS YOU ARE A DUMBAZZ AND THAT INCLUDES PRUITT IF HE FIRES ANY OF THEM. We need some continuity. Remember, we could’ve had Schiano.
I think if the positives outweigh the negatives you make a change. Paying a first time OC $1.2m was a head scratcher to me. If you fire any coach, you better be dam sure you're upgrading.

I agree continuity is important but if a coach is significantly underperforming, better cut bait now. I realize Helton has had some things that tie his hands but I've been totally unimpressed with his ability to adjust on the fly. We have no quick passing game except for wr screens. If the opportunity is there to get a proven OC you do it. All JMO.

Apart from Peyton Manning have our fans ever properly assessed when we had a really good QB while that QB was playing? I recall many debates about Clausen, Ainge and Dobbs....

I think Dobbs is the most underrated player we have had here maybe ever. People like to say that Clausen was better than dobbs but i think if you put dobbs with those Rosters and coaches we win a national title. That’s no stab at Clausen i just think Dobbs was that special.

Clausen was clutch, and that was apparent while he was playing. I wouldn’t consider Ainge as great but good. Dobbs was a great athlete but not always a great QB.

Maybe you have another criteria for elite, but people like Peyton, Tebow, Dak, Eli, Stafford, etc. were great college QB’s.

So you start another new learning curve and give JG and team their 4th OC in four years. That’s how you perpetuate continued suckage. Made our bed and have to lie in it. He’s seen something to invest 1.2 million in him and a good one isn’t coming if they see you fire a guy in year one. Got to let them get the players they want on O as well.

The right OC can come in and adapt his system to what's in place without a total system overhaul.

If David Cutcliff was available do you not hire him for continuity sake?

I went back and watched it several times just to make sure I didn't miss something. Me thinks you love conspiracies or stirring up negativity or just have an agenda. First of all I don't think that's even what he said. It's a stretch at best. And then you also have no way of knowing who his words were directed at, after all, it's not just players on the sideline. But imagine the horror, we have a QB that not everybody on the team likes. I bet we're the only team in the country that can say that.

We can agree to disagree...

Did anyone else notice yesterday on TV when JG was going to the tent he looked at someone on the team and clearly said "F U Man " ? I am not convinced, and haven't been convinced everyone on the team likes him, but I just thought that was bad considering he was hurt and going to get checked out. Chemistry is everything to a football team...
I am shocked that you posted this. Wait.....wait.....no I am not.

JG is a great college QB. One day our fans will realize what we have.
Yep. He is very, very good and we will be lucky if we get another 25 games out of him.

The Tennessee fan base is very fickle about quarterbacks. I don’t know why. Josh Dobbs, in any other program, would be a literal legend for some of the things he did. But I (and many others) had to defend him through his last snap here.
