'19 GA ATH Owen Pappoe (Auburn signee)

His frame is more slight than many people realize and his legs are thin. It raises the question does he have the frame to be an every down ILB in this type or system? UGA and Bama do not seem to think so.

I hope we get him and can sort it out later. At worst he could be a great sub package player in Nickel or Dime.
What makes you think UGA and Bama "do not seem to think so"?

He posted the highest SPARQ score that any high school football player has ever received. He is just a freak athlete. Get the signature, give him to Coach Fitz, and rest assured he's probably going to be as game-ready as any freshman in country next year.

I keep forgetting about that SPARQ score.. Dayummmm...

Actually this isn't true. Once a player signs it has to be made public to keep other staffs from contacting that player after they have signed with another school. That is a major NCAA violation.

It’s true with a silent commitment. You don’t actually sign until NSD or the early signing period, So just because a kid says I’m going to Bama, that doesn’t mean other coaches can’t contact him. They can do whatever the want until the kid has actually signed his national letter of intent. He’s Gotta put down that John Hancock for it to be a violation to contact him.

Speaking of LB weight. I didn’t realize JJ Peterson was that big until seeing him in the game Saturday. By the fall, he is going to be a tank.

Didn’t see him. He certainly has some work to do with Fitz, but he won’t be one that has a hard time building muscle I’m betting

Bama and UGA can afford to be picky with LBs bc they will just go get another 5 star. We take this kid because even if he ends up small he will still be better than anyone we have. As a hybrid Lb/star he has all of the tools to be great

100% agree he can be a great LB for us. Just stating that the same people on here talking about him being 230 by next fall, will be the ones griping.

The fact UGA is speaking to him about playing Star or a situational DB.
Who shared this info? One UGA poster's info I put stock in...another UGA poster's info, I do not.

Also, what about Bama...where was that posted?

Paging secking....
Please pickup the courtesy phone in the lobby...

I'm not familiar with OP's film but could he be an Eric Striker type. Striker was listed as 6' 220lb and was a bit of an A-hole but the dude could play..
If you haven’t seen his film. Do yourself a favor and watch it. Incredible

There has been plenty of buzz lately surrounding Tennessee’s continued pursuit of five-star Auburn linebacker commitment Owen Pappoe of Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga., a friend and teammate of five-star Vols offensive tackle commitment Wanya Morris. And with Pappoe now a week removed from his latest visit to Tennessee, sources close to his recruitment have continued to indicate that the Vols have some serious momentum with him as he moves toward a final decision. Pappoe visited Georgia on Saturday night, but according to multiple sources, Tennessee has emerged as the biggest threat to Auburn and is likely to get another visit from him soon.

Pappoe seems to have some concerns about the Tigers’ recent struggles on the field, and his longstanding relationships with multiple members of the Vols’ staff made it easy for him to feel comfortable at Tennessee during his trip to Knoxville on Nov. 3 for the Vols’ homecoming win over Charlotte. One highly ranked prospect who knows Pappoe even told 247Sports that he believes the Auburn commitment ultimately will end up at Tennessee. It’s too early to suggest with any certainty that he’s Knoxville-bound, but the Vols have made a major move and have given themselves a legitimate chance of stealing him away from the Tigers.
