Pruitt Post Game Presser

Ok geniuses, who could have Tennessee hired that was willing to come here would have had this program turned around already?

I think a lot of people expect to hear some elaborate step by step plan that will ensure UT will never lose a game again during the post game presser. Then get mad when they don’t hear it.

This team just does not look motivated and that is coaching. Pruitt needs to get away from the defense and concentrate more on the team. He has to find someway to motivate this team and quit saying wait until I get my guys. How many years now has UT fans had to listen to that crap.

Most of these guys are not SEC quality on the OL and LB. Terrible

I’m not buying the listed physical stats, we definitely look undersized on OL, but beyond that, the loss of Trey Smith has had a huge negative impact. OL is the one unit that most needs continuity & chemistry. It seems like ot’s been a revolving door since the very first game when Brandon Kennedy got hurt.

Thanks man. I hope we all are too.
I have no idea if CJP will ever be a successful coach or not.
I plan to give him till the end of next season before I draw a conclusion.
The same as I did for The others.

I still stand by my prediction that Tennessee will not win another championship in football in my lifetime but that’s based on administrative control and not the coaching. There are things that are concerning about our current coach and some things that are reasonable to believe are good.

I understand how the mindless bitching makes people feel better about things but it seems childish to me. Calling out others for being wrong later seems just as childish

I agree our admin and boosters are to blame. Ive still got a glimmer of hope we can return to our competitive winning ways.

A stat flashed up during the broadcast or on one of the talking head shows yesterday that Tennessee's offensive line was the smallest in the SEC. That is why we suck right now. Football at the college level is simple. The team with the bigger, stronger, faster O & D line wins. Decent running backs can look like superstars when they have a hole to hit the size of a bus. Until we get the lines built back up to SEC standards, yesterday is what you can expect.

Cliffnotes.
This was the best worst game ever.
It's the coaches fault, it's the players they are small. CBJ ruined the program, Tennessee fans want National championship this year.

I’m waiting, watching and evaluating. Just believe if we do it will be in spite of my university and not because of it.

Once again, it wasn't just recruiting services who thought our players were good. It was Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Mark Richt, Jimbo Fisher, Brian Kelly, etc who also offered them scholarships.

It's not logical to claim we're throwing trash on the field especially compared to Charlotte. At some point a coach needs to make his players better. These are his players too. The second he took the job last year they became his players. Maybe he should have spent a little more time evaluating what he could do to make the team better when he took the job. But he spent several weeks busy working for Alabama during that time.
That was much needed time he needed to have spent recruiting! Cost him dearly on national letter of intent day.

......people who live for instant gratification are almost never inspired by anything and habitual complainers about everything..... sound familiar?

They remind me of junkies.. If they do manage to get 'their high', it doesn't last long and there right back to where they started.

I would think that by now Pruitt and coaching staff know which players aren't capable of playing at a high level in the SEC or against any talented team. Supposedly every player is graded on their play during the games. So elevating play in year two will mean finding players to fill these positions if the team is to improve next season. This season it appears that whomever they are must be the best we have as they get to play every Saturday and seem to perform almost steadily at the same level. Still trying to understand what happened at Auburn as the level of play that week was the best of this season. I guess it had to do with two weeks to prepare as the same OL minus Smith performed at a B grade that one week. Every other week Smith or no it has been d to f.
So this season we'll see how we finish and next season we'll find out quickly if corrections of bad positions have been made. Football is not that complicated you need OL players that can push the other team out of the way. That makes you RB a star player. Your QB a star player and the team an offensive dominant team. We have no one that can do that this season obvious that our OL and DL on defense are the main culprits that are holding this team back. So since we have a lot of players coming back at the skill positions hopefully the final recruits to this class will be more OL players that can play immediately. I dont know how many of these present guys have enough talent that can be developed to the extent that they can give a decent performance. Year after year it has been the same thing OL can't block, DL can't dominate the line of scrimmage and because of this we give up big runs, no pressure on the QB all day to throw.
So it has to stop we have to get these players on the team. It is good to get great players at other positions a must and I believe we have many right now. Our problems all come down to OL and DL play and we need some players to start being recruited now or this will continue forever.

Yeah, I am...... Saban lost to ULM his first year on the way to 6-7.....after beating a ranked team......

So, you guys keep saying that CJP ain't Saban....Why are you expecting to turn this cesspool of players around into Champions in less than 1 year??

Therefore---you all must only be driven by the desire to see instantaneous and spontaneous improvement and get discouraged when it doesn't happen for you.

Today was a win.....NO win is UGLY for this team

There are certain people on here who have made up their mind completely about Pruitt, not sure why they even bothered to watch until he's gone.
