It's amazing to me how certain trolls have been allowed to take over this board. If anyone share's an opinion that differs from theirs, here they come with the personal insults and attacks. It has reached a point of divisiveness that there doesn't seem to be any hope for an actual discussion about the QB position. It's a shame.

JG is solid....when our below avg O line protects him. No one is that good when they're running for their life and on their back constantly. I'd be fine letting KC play an entire game to see if his management and how he handles the O line is any better. He showed flashes of that vs. Bama. Not hating on either one of them, we're just not in a good situation on our O Line where we can see a good/accurate comparison of two QBs.

From what we've seen, Chryst is better. He's gone in and scored on the more difficult teams that we've played this year.

so why did he transfer again? Pac-12 must be tougher than the SEC

Depends on what side you're on, the NegaVols seem overwhelmed because it appears that many more are on CJP and JGs side than they are on the side of the NegaVols. There's no debate because it seems ridiculous to many that he's getting any blowback at all based on his effort and production. Only about 15-20 on here are for replacing JG, they are definitely the minority. Also my feed is great, I hardly ever see a negative Nancy anymore for some reason.

My point, which obviously was too subtle for you, was no matter how much any one player has improved, the ultimate goal is to win the games. So if you’re happy having JG win the Heisman and the team go 4-8 again, you are welcome to it.

JG has a decent arm. I would not say great but good enough to play QB for us. The thing I worry about is him reacting to the blitz. We will never have a oline that can let him just sit in the pocket forever not in the next two years. He can not get the ball out quick. Plus he has zero scramble ability. We will see I guess what he can do next year.

You're on a discussion forum, where people discuss things from different viewpoints and perspectives. If you can't see that people who disagree with you might also be real fans and intelligent people, this is going to be a tough place for you.

Well he got injured then his backup took over. Usually guys dont take it back over after recovering. Like Jacob Eason getting injured and Jake Fromm taking over.

But yeah, let's stick with the QB who has 8 passing TDs over 8 games, while the backup has 3 TDs in about 4 quarters, or maybe it's less than that? Also, it was against Alabama and Florida. Decent teams I'd say.

Can't use Alabama as an example....some say Bama packed it in up 28-0(1st qt) ....to that thought I say BS !

I stand corrected on the florida game. I can admit when I'm wrong on something unlike you "JG or nobody" morons.

However, we finally scored a touchdown once Chryst took the field in the 3rd quarter and we got a 2 pt conversion with him in the 4th quarter. They weren't passing touchdowns but we got scores once he got in and Guarantano was out.

he's been consistent most all year. the two things that stick out...the low# of INT's and the completion %. he's been efficient.

he's still got some issues mentally with the pre snap stuff and recognition.

but i dont' think he's done anything to warrant the level of consternation shown all year long about him.....

I’m not for either quarterback only the one that leads this team. That being said, there seems to be some that takes glee when JG has issues. I don’t get that way of thinking.

IMHO, JG is a fair qb at best. He is very good at getting clobbered.
Maybe he will get better as time goes by.

That's an excellent point. BTW, I remember being at the game in Starkville where Helton went down and they played Stewart & Manning. I sat at the Shoney's in Columbus after the game, proudly showing off my analytical skills by announcing that the Manning kid looked good but the Stewart kid, yeah he's the one. LOL

I think your statement says a lot about your attitude, a real fan doesn't seek negative out of an article that was nothing but praise for a QB that has given everything to be the starting QB for UT and then some.
