I want your thoughts. I noticed that Auburn seems to have a more finesse blocking scheme. The running back searches for the hole and did not seem to be a hand in the dirt blow you off the ball O. We seemed to defend it pretty well. I know their OL was young and having issues as well however. USCe just seemed to blow us off the LOS and was more power football. I was thinking our D like the rest of the team has strength issues so the results played into that. Finesse or power and looking ok instead of bad against the run. What do you guys think? Also, if this is accurate, how does it bode for us in the last three SEC games? All opinions matter and just want to see what you guys think.

USCe did two things that were different than what we were expecting, and what we faced against a team like auburn.

the did go up tempo, which Auburn can/will do at times, but for USCe that was different....

the other thing was running the i formation with the two TE sets. htey'd put two te's on the same side, and still run the I.

they were getting to the 2nd level of our defense and we didn't come off blocks well at all, and we still saw the same issues with tackling we've had.

and we didn't really adjust to it all that great either.

Speaking of holidays. It's time for a top 3 list...

Top 3 favorite holidays:

1. Thanksgiving - My 3 favorite things are the main focus; Family, Football and Food. Although I don't like turkey that much, bring me ham on Thanksgiving AND Christmas. Turkey is meh (save the speech turkey fanboys). So much college and pro football on that day and all weekend, leftovers, friends and family, booze, crisp cold weather. It's a holiday that's impossible to beat.

2. St. Patrick's Day - The last 5 years or so I've thrown a St. P's party at my house and it gets better each year. I like to host parties and drinking beer, whiskey and eating potatoes is right in my wheelhouse. Plus it's always right around March madness which is the 2nd greatest sporting event, behind the CFB regular season of course.

3. 4th of July - We get to celebrate this great country of ours with food, beer and fireworks. Almost as good as Thanksgiving. If only there were football.
Liked for your views on ham vs. turkey. Agree 100%.

Same here. They took advantage of Kelly. We don't normally get beat deep middle under Pruitt until this past wk. tends to force it to the boundaries for harder throws
really wish Shamburger would get on board and get it together. i still think that kid has a ton of talent.

The big gains for USC was when the RB would cut back. There was no backside contain. That's how they got the chunk yards

Every game we have lost this year is a result of or lack of size, strength and talent. We just get blown away on both sides of the line. It will get better, but it will not happen over night. The next two recruiting classes determine how many games we win in the future.

I’m going to sing Rocky Top at top of my lungs for winning an SEC road game against a division foe.

I remember complaining about barely beating Vandy with Peyton Manning. It happens. We’ve been through hell and hell and hell and hell and (thought we were back), and some more hell.

Winning is good

Losing is bad

they didn't struggle much at all in the run game. they ran at us and around us.

we're gonna have to find an answer for that.

Would seem to be the case. I just looked at our roster and came up with 12 sophmores who never see the field. Some I had forgotten were even on the team (Terrel Bailey, Cheyenne Labruzza anyone?) Wouldn't be shocked if any or all of them left.

Then if you're a junior.... what do you do? If you're Tyler Byrd for example.. you stick around despite never really getting thrown the ball?

I don't think TB sticks around.

I put this in Norton's thread and thought I was putting it here where more would see it. Just want to know all of your thoughts on this.

Y’all think Trey will be able to play next year?
my gut says no. clots in the lungs that come back that quick...that's no joke. not sure how they treat that and he still be able to play. can't be on anticoagulants or thinners and play football. could be as dangerous as playing with the clots. football wise, it sucks obviously.

but it just isn't worth it. all that said, if htere's other treatments, who knows........
