The Atlanta Braves

I do not understand why we made almost no attempt to throw the ball deep tonight, after our success vs Auburn.

I was in favor of going for it on 4th down instead of trying the 52 yard FG. I regret it.

I am generally an admirer of JG, who is tough as hell, but his inability to get the ball out on time is a real problem.

Agreed

52 yard FG is probably through the uprights wit Cimaglia but at the time I was pro going for it is well

I’m cool with goin down with your dude but man... he’s taking it on the chin a lil

If you go with Jansen before the 9th then have him pitch the bottom 7th with runners on. It makes no sense what Roberts is doing

JG put several balls downfield that were dropped. So there’s that. But he does have an internal clock problem and I don’t know if that’s something that can be fixed.

Regardless, this loss isn’t on him.

If our defense hadn't caved in then I would have been okay with FG. But I figured they would drive the field with no problem, so best chance of winning is to try to pick up first down and score and eat the clock up. Given that you lose 50 percent of the time if it goes to OT.

I still think going for it was the right move. But damn it sucks when you lose by 3 and you didn't even try the FG.

This was a team loss. Every group did something major to complain about.

But the refs and Birmingham are the real culprits.
...
It's hard not to be a little down on Pruitt at this point. That was a winnable game.

JG will be recruited over and if not we are in trouble. He is average to good but he has absolutely zero awareness in the pocket. And it will continue to bite us.

Flame away or put me on ignore, but as always...

Yeah I really hope he is not still the QB two years from now. I admire his toughness and I'm not going to second-guess the staff by assuming that Chryst would be any better, but if the goal is to compete for the conference championship in year 3 then the QB play is going to have to be better. Hopefully in two years we won't need a QB whose best skill is "getting the shlt beat out of him behind a bad OL" anymore.

Most of that before he blew out his knee but

Ok

lol “blew out his knee” it’s not 1979. That’s not a career ending injury in this century.

Whatever man, you saw the darts he threw last weekend (save me the prevent defense excuse). If you don’t think he can throw a WR screen I am wasting my time.

He is tough as hell, just not a very smart QB. He is endearing but I want more at QB1. And somehow he is less athletic than Justin Worley.
