We play better on the road and don't forget a couple weeks ago we went to Auburn and thumped them pretty good. Auburn is much better than SC. We're going to make SC fans wish the black jerseys didn't exist. Saturday night is the beginning of the end of SC fans thinking they might be in the top 3 in the SEC East going forward for awhile. Muschamp's seat will get hot.
On the other hand, Pruitt will have taken a Tennessee team, with a very limited roster, on the road and gotten two huge conference road wins in back to back attempts. He'll be 2/3 in road games vs UGA, Auburn and USC, in his first season. REALLY good sign for the future.
Confidence will be high as we roll over Charlotte while looking forward to hosting UK and Mizzou, three straight weeks in Neyland. UK is about to come back down to earth in these next few weeks having to face Mizzou, UGA and UT in consecutive weeks. Very good chance they lose both of those games and are limping into Neyland, Vols will be ready to shut down their running game and will score enough to get that W.
Mizzou game in Knoxville will be our toughest challenge remaining but it's still a toss up at this point. And we're not losing to Vandy. They've lost 5 of their last 6 games and it's not getting any easier for them along the way.
Vols are going to win at least 4 of their last 5 with a good chance at a sweep with a W tomorrow. Which means recruiting will take off; Wright, Pappoe, Crouch, Bogle (lol Miami) and other studs will see the future is BRIGHT in Knoxville with this staff and they'll jump in the ship. The offseason will be a blast in the recruiting forum with 4 star after 4 star commit in the spring. We'll be predicting 10+ in 2019 by April. GBMFO

Exactly how I am taking this season. I do see a change in the attitude of this team. I see where coaching is starting to come out of some of these guys. Not down on this staff at all. Still got a lot of bad playing habits that CP and staff are trying to change thanks to the sewer pickle eater coach we had. Hoping for a V tomorrow.
If this RIVALY goes on for another 100 yrs, I don't want to be a part of the generation who called it off for a few yrs, all because we felt we couldn't play with them. No way, man. The times we've had the upper hand, they never called it off...they went out and hired a great coach and got better. That's what we have to do. We now have the coach, we just have to get better, and beat them. Don't run away. Get better, and beat them. Don't quit, get better. That's just how I was raised, dude. Get better.Hyperbole my friend! But I ain’t backing down. I’m all in for trading Bama for Auburn and Mizzou for Arkansas. I think over the long-term that would help balance out our schedule.
It’s interesting. We are actually where I thought we’d be at this point. I was thinking 3-4 by now, with a tough slog toward 6 and a bowl game. I thought our big win would be Florida rather than Auburn, but Auburn is an impressive win. I also assumed we’d lose a few important players to injury (always happens).
Oddly despite being about where I thought we’d be, I’m more optimistic about the rest of the season than I expected. It’s within the realm of possibility we could win out or win 4 of 5. Not likely but somewhat possible. These teams we will play are each flawed in some way. If we play hard, tough disciplined football we could surprise. Need to find answers on the OL though...
If your 40 or over it matters. 30-39 it might matter. 29 or younger all you know is we suck when we play bama.
But as rivalry goes out game hasn't mattered much in the conference, much less nationally, in a long time.
I'm 45. And I hate bama most.
But Florida and Georgia are more important games relative to conference goals.
I just passed 30 but don't have such a defeatist attitude. Yes Alabummer has been killing it for a decade plus but damn guys. We are The University of Tennessee. I surely wouldn't argue for a non rivalry between us.Let me guess. You're over the age of 35.
To us guys in our 20s and to the teens we are recruiting its just another game we know we get curb stomped every year. It's barely a rivalry.

Yes they are. As I stated earlier, all last year while working in PA, I had 2 guys from Demopolis, AL on my crew, and every other word out of their mouths was roll tide; I might add, they both are in their early 20's. Said they took way more joy in beating UT than any other program. I asked why, and they said it was because their folks hated UT more, and the reason their folks hated UT more, is because we had beaten them more times than anyone, and they never wanted us to catch them in SEC titles...and also because they hate Peyton Manning and Phillip Fulmer. The idiots in my family still let it separate family relationships. Bama folks are that stupid.
