Man... just looked out my back door to see a couple of feet of large cobra colored snake heading around the corner.

Reluctantly, I head out the front door, cage the dog, and grab the hoe and machette... not really looking forward to this. I round the corner just long enough to see about 3 feet of snake drop into a large hole my dog digs under the foundation of the house. Now... I'm really not looking forward to this. This is a big snake. So far, it's looking brownish / blackish and very cobraish. Dang... is your boy about to die here?

I'm waiting, and nothing, so I go inside the house to look out the window right above the hole to see if I can see which way he exits, left or right, and plan the less stupid of things after that.

After a few seconds, he emerges, and begins to head to the back of the house again. Fortunately, I get a good look at it, and can positively identify it as a keelback, not a cobra. Non-venomous, so there is no need for us to throw hands on this day. That was about 5 feet of snake. As I type this, I look out my window, and I kid you not, it has appeared again and literally raises a foot of it's body from over the other side of my wall and looks at me before lowering itself out of sight again.

If my granny taught me anything, it's that a simple garden hoe is the best weapon that you can use against a snake. I swear that woman was otherworldly when it came to protecting her grandkids.

Should have gave it the wussup head nod. Oh and you should trade the pup for a mongoose.

Saw lots of their fans happily kicking back tall boys during the game.

Does the Big 12 allow alcohol sales conference wide?
dunno, don't think so.

but WVU's stadium is off campus and they do sell beer there.

Regardless of the game or it's outcome tomorrow I wanted to remind everyone to have some fun today, and this weekend. Enjoy your family, friends, and hobbies, and remember that none of us are promised tomorrow so let's make this one count.
This may sound bad but winning or losing doesn’t even matter to me that much the rest of this year. Pruitt and staff has shown me: A. They know how to practice. Our practice and training structures are identical to bama. 2. They can and will recruit. 3. They can gameplan and adjust on the fly. 4 we can play well on the road. 5. We can beat more talented teams.

Yea i hope we make a bowl and win every game but I’m just enjoying seeing it play out at this point.

Don’t tell me what to do, DD.

You know if we had an outstanding QB think we would've been in every game except bama.

If we had an outstanding QB, OL, DL, linebacking corps and secondary, with outstanding depth, I’d go further and say we’d in the hunt for a national title.
Want to call saban see if he would trade player's ? Really think with what I think are top notch coaches, we could make games a lot more interesting with just a outstanding QB. Well have a team of players in 2 maybe 3 years to have a chance against anyone. But a great QB can make just about any game possible.

Banks must be bringing the juice to the defense if he is changing the way they practice. I wonder if they are getting him some blitz packages to start off. Seems the easiest way to get him in field. He sure won't be tip toeing lol
Yes sir! I love hearing quotes like that. Makes me think we are going to go out and pitch a shut out tomorrow night. 😎

Small sample size, but a stat I thought was interesting from an article in The Athletic:
The idea is Chryst is better at recognizing pressure pre-snap and gets better protection from the line as a result.

However, advanced numbers don’t really bear out that theory. According to STATS LLC, their numbers are almost identical in that respect.

In 152 total dropbacks this season, Guarantano has been pressured (sacked, hurried or hit while throwing) 61 times (40.1 percent).
In 28 total dropbacks this season, Chryst has been pressured 11 times (39.3 percent).

Just could not live there..I'm allergic to venomous snakes.. Yes I know we all are, I should have said I'm terrified of venomous snakes..

More a function of when they played - first half versus second half. When you look at the expanded stats, over two thirds of the sacks occurred in the first half with JG, probably the hurries and hits as well. Once adjustments are made at half time it gets much better. Some of it is the average time in getting the ball out of JG's hands. Chryst is quicker. A big part is who Helton has started at G each game, which is where most of the breakdowns are occurring in the first half.
