I'm sure this will be suggested somewhere... but why not Libs doing this... they are desperate and this fits the bill. As to the why this would be done... NO reasons, as mentioned Hillary and OBie lost there teets some time ago. They are harmless.

I smell rats here... nothing more or less. Political stunt by dims.

I think people are engaging in too much of a causation debate.

There's rarely going to be a reason to say a person who would do this, or shot Scalise, did it because they were told to by a politician. It's more a question of the atmosphere encouraging such bitterness that people can't act rationally


They are already looking for a reason to be mad and hurt someone. Stop giving them reasons, is all I'm saying.

Another point is the anonymity of it all, which is made worse by the internet. It's easy to attack people you dont know, or see in front of you, and to demonize them for thinking differently. It's much harder to have a political disagreement spin out of control like this, or Scalise, when your political debate is with someone you might actually like. Or at least not loathe.

It’s probably been said, but this reeks of political folly.

No postmark, couriers, Obama, Clinton, DWS, Soros? Yeah, too much bull**** here. Democrats could be in the basement of hell, and they would go even lower at the expense of power. To their demise, they’re too damn dumb to see it actually hurts them more than it helps.

This episode is another sign of how conspiratorial the right has become. Immediately after this story broke, Rush Limbaugh blamed a "democratic operative" without evidence except that "Republicans just don't do things like this." When he was reminded about the guy who shot up Comet Ping Pong Pizza in D.C. because a Trump supporter believed in "Pizzagate", he dismissed that guy as "just some nut - not a true Republican"... but if an Obama supporter had done the same thing would he be so dismissive? Doubtful

The right has been hi-jacked by these conspiracy nuts.... Pizzagate, Seth Rich, Qanon, Alex Jones and Infowars and now even Limbaugh, apparently. Just plain nuts.

There is definitely a nutty element on the right. The parents of Sandy Hook children being threatened because followers of Alex Jones think they're actors paid by gun control lobbyists. Comet Ping Pong being shot up because some nut believed John Podesta was raping children in the basement (they don't even have).

A fast-approaching election certainly has nothing to do with why they’d plant bull**** like this.

The left is more crooked than a dog’s ****. Your reluctance to accept that is why Trump is in office, and why you’re still, after two years, nursing a seething case of asshurt that would make hemorrhoids say “WTF.”

Yes there's a nutty element there and there's a nutty element on the left which we've seen frequently over the last 2 years in particular.

You see the problem with just saying the right is the bunch of conspiracy nuts right? If LG's theory is right that people cannot act rationally if subject to dangerous rhetoric then continually saying the right is nutty will result in nutty behavior from the right! (I don't buy LG's theory by the way)

No, I really don't because the conspiracy theories are so rampant on the right and they get major play on their mainstream outlets. Hannity pushed the Seth Rich story for months. This "false flag" thing is seriously being discussed today as a possibility with no evidence at all.
