It’s not ragging he just doesn’t move well inside the pocket especially for a player who was the #1 dual threat

Correct... serious question--- why the heck does this kid after several years not use his legs and scramble a bit? No one expects Dobbs, but dang kid, you look like Tom Brady out there sometimes in the pocket... the kid has to have some descent wheels, very surprised Pruitt and Helton have not told him to use them every once in a while to keep the D honest... especially now that we see Chryst is for real.

I would start KC and let JG heal up. JG is going to leave on a stretcher with this offensive line.
I agree KC appears to make quicker decisions and maybe that helps the offensive line enough
to move the ball.

The JG that played against Auburn was spectacular.

Mizzou has a better DL than they're given credit for. They manhandled UGA's OL during a lot of that game. That said, how many starters are playing in the second half for BAMA this season? Their 3rd stringers playing times must be outrageous compared to normal teams.

Saban had his defensive starters playing much of the 2nd half yesterday, including the 4th qtr. Danielson noted that it was likely because next Saturday is Bama's bye week, and the UT game was the last chance to let the team get used to playing after halftime adjustments are made, and also just used to playing more late in the game in case it comes down to that against LSU in 2 weeks. Of course, I don't know what halftime adjustments Bama needed to make, but that's what damn said.

I never said he didn't. I said he absolutely wasn't facing the same pressure. Bama's defense changed. That doesn't invalidate that he played well but there was a difference between what he faced and what JG faced.

KC played well, and that's good since it lets us know we have 2 capable QBS. However, we don't need to take the word of anyone on here about play calling or Bama defense at the time. CJP himself said that when KC was in he had more time to throw (didn't say why) and they had started calling some things that Bama hadn't seen before and were therefore not ready for. Things, as in plural, not just a flea-flicker.

I'm not sure why people are even arguing this. It's pretty simple:

• JG has the higher ceiling but lower floor right now
• KC has the lower ceiling but higher floor right now

Agree. The coaches will tell us if they still value development more or if its time to give somebody else a chance to win more games. I'm tired of development because there are a limited number of players on the current roster who will be playing at all in the next couple of years. That's really obvious by the uneven play on the field and CJP's comments. Most will be recruited over or leave. So the point of continuing to try to develop those players is useless. Develop the redshirts and keep working with your starting young guns and the handful of older guys who are doing things right. KC is in that later group. JG is going to get recruited over if he doesn't get the mental part of the role. Right now he is totally dependent on an O-line that cannot be depended on to give him extra time to throw.

JG had the same advantage in the Auburn game. He hit Chandler totally uncovered down the middle of the field for one. He had enough time to throw deep passes the receivers outfought defenders for on highpoint and back shoulder throws because they were in max protect a lot. He threw them well. That only worked once against Bama's defenders and JG got blasted as it happened because he had less time to throw. Bama was expecting it having seen it on tape and knew JG doesn't make pre-snap reads well. KC got the ball out quicker on the deep cross to Byrd. He threw the ball to the spot Byrd was running to instead of holding it and throwing the back shoulder. Chandler was not his primary receiver on the second TD. He spotted a LB in coverage on him on the outside pre-snap and immediately went there due to the mismatch. I don't recall that ever happening with JG in all of his starts. He nearly always looks primary first and locks on, which causes a lot of hurries and sacks.

Agreed. That Nebraska team was dominant but they could not have stopped that Bama O at all. They would have scored some points because they were so dang good at the option attack, but not nearly enough to win the game.
I have to disagree, I think Alabama is rediculous, but they’re ithe only elite team this year. Seems like every other team is rebuilding, even Clemson is starting a true freshman. I have to see how bad that beat Clemson first, that Nebraska team beat an elite Gator team by 40.

Fair enough. Let's see how it goes in the playoffs. I personally think that they destroy everyone, but that remains to be seen if it will happen.
