You really think that is how Saban thinks? Ok boys let them breath, back off, they have their second QB in so let's play differently. Kills me how poor JG faced things soooo differently than KC. It was still first half and KC coming off the bench haven't not played much to play like he did deserves more credit than your giving him. Saban doesn't win Natty's by teaching his boys to let the other team breath. He suffocates them. Us scoring 21 will be what he will be talking about in practice next week. KC looked great and threw some awesome passes and again he hasn't gotten to play as much as JG. The same OL was in there when KC came in.
I agree that Saban didn't let us breathe. He was still playing his knee injured super star quarterback then. We actually looked like we had a chance for a minute. I actually am glad to see Chryst play so well. It makes me feel good about our back up situation, and I think it might be worth looking into using him sometimes against teams that consistently blow up our offensive line. He seems to get rid of the ball faster.

He does seem to have a better awareness and quick release. He may not have as strong an arm but who cares the way he was placing the ball to his WR's. They were really nice throws.

Also, not trying to take anything away from KC. He truly is an SEC qb. I would compare him with Joe Burrow. I know he doesn’t have a great team around him like Joe does, but they play very similar. All in all JG is just better. Put JG behind Alabama’s center he’s a heisman candidate!
We will just have to agree to disagree on that.

RE: Chryst. He had a good quarter but BAMA was up 28 points and playing 2 safeties back when he was in. He didn't face the same pressure JG faced at all and it wasn't because he was picking up the blitz any better or even because the offense changed all that much. Bama's defense simply decided to let us breathe after knocking our starter out.

If KC and JG are roughly equivalent you go with JG all day everyday. He’s going to be here two more years. I’m not sure why this is even a debate.

JG has one of our two or three best road wins in the last 12 years already under his belt. He’s good enough to get us to a bowl game.

Agree if JG is struggling let KC have couple series only if we really need it. Tell you guys Missouri D looked good second half , Bama game. Nobody has looked good again Tua.

We have lost 4 games, all to ranked opponents, two in the top 10, and one who has a win over a top ten team in LSU. Sorry, but these remaining teams aren't anywhere near that level and KY, as usual, seems to have fallen.

Is it unlikely we win out? Maybe, because we'll probably play inconsistent. But these teams we are going to play aren't very good. If we beat SC, which may be the toughest since they had a bye week and we're banged up, I don't see any reason we can't win out. We have 2 weeks to prepare for KY since we play Charlotte before them and Vandy is terrible. Mizzou isn't very good and their defense is crap. So none of them scare me.

I think it helps that South Carolina is the last true road game too. Playing at Vandy is more of a neutral site game since there will be more Vols fans there.

I guess he's just a moron for calling soft coverage then. Could just be there was no need to blitz at that point in the game. We weren't stopping that offense and everyone there knew it. We never once threatened Bama's dominance in that game.

Yeah no way we could possibly just make some good plays. Their 1st string D was still in there and they didn't blitz JG every play either.

Mizzou has a better DL than they're given credit for. They manhandled UGA's OL during a lot of that game. That said, how many starters are playing in the second half for BAMA this season? Their 3rd stringers playing times must be outrageous compared to normal teams.

I never said he didn't. I said he absolutely wasn't facing the same pressure. Bama's defense changed. That doesn't invalidate that he played well but there was a difference between what he faced and what JG faced.

Still 1st string D. Still don't want us to score and KC still made the plays. My point is Saban would never tell his D even if they were up 60 - 0 to back off or let the other team breath. Just not in his make up. Your trying to make like they treated KC so different than JG and that just isn't right.

Missouri has had a good DL forever. Barnett was about to go there until he committed to us

He’s a tough dude but damn he bring a lot of hits on himself. One of the things i observed about Tua seeing him up close, he moves so damn well in the pocket and is a lot bigger/thicker down on the field as opposed to on TV

He really is. Which is why he is so hard to bring down. Strong as an ox.

He's on a different level as Bama is .hate it but Bama want lose as long as he's healthy . JG has to have more pocket presents you got to a least try to side step a rusher . I don't want him killed but he brings a lot on himself.

They faced different situations. There's nothing wrong with that but I doubt continuing to argue this will get us anywhere. We're in basic agreement that Chryst did well. I just don't agree that the circumstances similar and therefore don't think the limited data makes for a good comparison.

Dang, if we win this weekend it is very likely that we'll go 8-4. That's crazy to think about when we went 4-8 last year and thought we'd go 3-9 after the Florida game. If that happens that will be an incredible first year for coach Pruitt. Just imagine when he gets better players in here.
Coach of the year candidate.

The only thing KC does better is quick decision making.

When it works it looks great. But he will make some really bad/dumb mistakes this way.

JG not being able to see the pressure pre snap and adjust his protection is BAD.

If he wants to improve and not be a middle of the pack QB he needs to significantly improve this aspect of his game.

Hey JG, try to do a better job of not being so obvious when you post on here, you may get in trouble with your coach!

I’m not going to pass judgement on either of those guys until we get better O-line play.

Exactly. Saban didn't back off until the final drive. After we scored right before the half, they made a point to go the length of the field in under a minute and a half just to score again and shove it down our throats...
