When was the last time we played an SEC west team that didn’t finish with 8+ wins?

2010 Ole Miss (4-8).

Coincidentally our last win against the West.

Just looked at it. Since 2009, I believe Ole Miss in 2010 was the only west team that had under 8 wins at the end of the year.

In 2011, Dooley played Bama, LSU, and Arkansas, who all ended up in top 5. In 2013, Butch played Bama and Auburn, who both had 11 wins. Mizzou and USCe were also top 5.

That’s crazy. We’ve had to have had some of the worst luck in the East at drawing our West opponent. I remember that stretch from 2011 to 2014 where just about every West opponent was top 10

Yep. Callaway and Warrior could leave early, too-- and maybe a few others. It would be mutually beneficial for all to stay, but some are ready to move on.
