Herbstreit either legitimately loves us or he's paying back reparations for Ohio State fans being shitlords over the off-season.

He always talks about the Vols. Unlike most talking heads, I think he just gets the program and the fanbase. I know he's said multiple times that he's been absolutely baffled by how and why Tennessee has been down for so long because the program is so strong with so much history and passion.

I remember that too. The best know who the best are.

If it's true, and I think there's a good chance it is, then that's the edge we need to be nationally relevant. I don't think we can just brute force our way to being top 10 every year on recruiting alone simply because in-state talent doesn't live up to expectations often enough and we don't get the cream of the crop in GA and FL. We have to have an edge over teams beyond just out-talenting them, and coaching/fielding a top 5 defense most years (after Pruitt gets his scheme installed and his players) is how we'll get there.

It'll be interesting to see where we end up recruiting wise this year. If we can land Wright, and a couple more top tier guys, I think we can finish somewhere around number 10. I think in time though, Pruitt and staff will have us in the top ten pretty much every year. If we're recruiting top ten talent every year, with coaches like I think we have, we'll be fine. Still a little uneasy about the offense, but defensively, I think we're going to field a top tier unit most years.

Do teams even throw at Alontae? I don't feel like you ever see them throw to his side

Not really. He’s the best corner we have had since probably Jason Allen. He’s long, fast, and physical. Literally everything you want in a corner.
Not to mention a complete dog personality wise b

Obviously, we are all feeling better about November, but specifically, I feel my confidence vs. Mizzou rising quickest.

Early this year, I thought they were built to beat us, but our defense has tightened up well... especially the secondary.
We were talking about this at work today. Personally I ranked the remaining games (most likely win to least likely) :
1. Charlotte
2. Vandy
3. South Carolina
4. Kentucky
5. Missouri
6. Alabama

Just my opinion.
