Like Freak said, I bet most of us felt like Auburn would get the onside kick and win in last seconds. BVS is real-- Last year, our team did backflips because we beat Southern Miss. OTOH, this year, Jennings did fist pump and then quietly handed the ball to ref after huge touchdown-- Pruitt is obviously teaching this team (and BVS fans) that being Tennessee VOL means that you should expect to win against good teams.
My husband looked so relaxed so I asked him if he was worried. He said that all they had to do was handle the ball then it's over. I asked did he know how many "all you have to do is" we had messed up.

Haven’t followed recruiting as much this year - normally like to cram it all in a couple of days before NSD. Are we in the mix for any big time RBs?

Shoooweee just thinking about how damn good JG played yesterday.
We have not seen that JG before yesterday.
His passes were perfect. Didn't throw into bad situations (multiple coverages). Gave the receivers a chance. Light bulb went off for him , receivers, and Helton.

Stack up and stop the run I dare ya'!
GBO!

Doesn't DeAndre Jordan play for the Mavericks now instead of the Clippers?

It's amazing the constant typos and grammatical errors that VQ prints. They can't even get names of the UT players right.

DeAndre Johnson's sack was critical. DeAndre Jordan's play this year will be critical if the Dallas Mavericks make the playoffs in the Western Conference.
I get the feeling that they don't take the time to get it proofread before posting it.

When Auburn started their last drive I was already just hoping we would recover the onside kick.

I hate these misleading headlines that ESPN likes to trot out. "First time Auburn has lost to Tennessee since 99." Almost as if we've played them every year since then and haven't won.

I hate those stats. Like “It’s been 2,628 days and three presidential terms since such and such”

Well Bob! We’ve only played them a handful of times ya schmuck!

The problem is that we can’t keep up that rate of conversion on third down. A good offense gets you into manageable third down yardage.

I was pleased with the improvement with play calling. Coaches can get better too. I do hope they get a little more creative in the run game. I cringed with the stretch handoff to one side, and the RB seems to have a defender in his face pretty quickly. There is still a little more misdirection that we can use in running the ball.
Agreed. Still plenty of room to improve with play calling
