Her target audience should be every American. 1 out of 5 women will be raped in their lifetime, and 1 out of 3 will experience some sort of sexual assault. Some of you guys think this is all a joke just because a small few make up false accusations. Maybe some of you guys would have a change of perspective if someone close to you was a victim.

I don't think it's a joke nor do I think those accusations should have been sat on for six weeks as a ploy to stall the hearings.

That's what people are pissed about.

It sounded equivalent to a song about everyone kicking their dog because wolves eat babies.

If you live around predators, you have to live accordingly. It's sad, but smart. Just because there are predators out there doesn't make everyone a predator. To promote a society that treats everyone like a predator, or takes the right to presumption of innocence away... Well that would make the one looking to take such right away a predator in their own right.

Oh it’s not a joke. Sexual assault is the most heinous of crimes. Lying about it is just as heinous and happens far more often then you’d like to admit.

I’ve had to be a witness in two separate assault claims six years apart. Each time I had to help prove that the alleged attacker wasn’t present at the alleged time and place. . It’s a very disturbing and, frankly, a horrible process. One of the women eventually admitted that she lied. The other couldn’t prove anything and had a story that went all over the place and ended up just accusing everyone else after that. Everyone knew she was full of crap. Lies take away from what really happens. Everyone should be against lies. Everyone should be against Ford.

But anyway, this girls song is quite the lie. She can’t go anywhere outside of her second story apt. She can’t even answer the door in what she wants. Yeah, Ok.......

Some of us have seen both sides. friends sexually assaulted, not the actual assault obv, and some friends accused of such without any proof.

it doesn't take away at all from those who are actually assaulted to say that there are plenty of blatantly false accusations.

Highly doubtful.

I've known "victims". Each one of them never reported anything to law enforcement and once you got the entire story out of them it was regret from a drunken escapade. Nothing more, nothing less.

Back on topic..

What happens if there is no "blue wave" this fall? I have no doubt the dims will pick up some seats but if they can't clobber Republicans and take control of the house or senate what will we see from them? Will this finally be the push that sends most of them overboard (even more so than now)? I want to see Republicans maintain control, not because I really care about their agenda but because I want to see how the dims handle themselves. It could be an interesting fall/winter!

You do realize that those stats mean an overwhelming majority of women won't experience either? 80% won't experience rape, 70% won't experience SA.

Not trying to downplay the issue of assault. But just trying to point out that it isn't as rampant as one might think.

However, I will point out:

- Women have lower suicide rates than men.

- Women have lower incarceration rates than men.

- Women are beginning to dominate in the workplace.

- Women are making leaps and bounds regarding representation in the fields of engineering and science, typically male dominated fields.

- A record number of women are running for office

- Women have higher college graduation rates than men.


Women aren't victims; they're doing great.

Sweet, simple GV. They’re not about to let a GOP global warming hurricane screw up their TSwift plug. They have already declared this “the vote of a lifetime”, which I think is what they said in 2016. They will gladly take a week to push hard in Broward, Dade, etc. I highly doubt many evacuating are going to be worried about registering to vote next week.

Americans in general are dumb ass sheep......I can see the dims picking up some seats in spite of how well everything is going....but like you....I want to see the dims like loother and Mick soil themselves for another couple of years.
