Alright, man!! We have to meet up. My bro-in-law, @Sugaray13, and I have tickets in section 34 row 48, so we are very close to each other. Crazy small world. Will be nice to put another face to a name.Just got our tickets to auburn game. Section 34 row 41. Let’s gooooo
Yea he did, with like 350 passing and 400 total. Possibly, tough to know for sure since Vandy did win by 11 and our drives kept stalling in the 2nd half. Vandy scored the most points they’ve had all season and had 600 yards tho, tough for me to fault Dobbs for the lossI remember that game well. He played great, think he went 31-34 or something like that. But that fumble towards the end of the game, probably lost us the game.
Tennessee vs. Georgia - Play-By-Play - September 29, 2018 - ESPNGood post. How about second and third down? Curious if there was a pattern.
Clausen played really average or even below average in some games we won. Don’t mistake us winning for him playing better than he actually did.Ah idk. I feel like Clausen was the type of dude that would have found a way to win at South Carolina. Dobbs also lost to Vanderbilt twice. That's a hell of a foul in my book.
Finally someone who calls it like he sees it. He also fails to read the defense before the snap and either is not allowed to change a play or just does what is called. MSU's Fitzgerald was chewed out after the Florida game by his coaches for bad RPO's and the next week he responds with an awesome win vs Auburn. JG needs to either show up Saturday or sit the bench the rest of the year.
Browns would have won 2 more games max. QB isn't even close to as important as people like you say. Look what happens every time a team gives a QB a max contract. They aren't able to carry the team to continued success because the team can't afford the equally important parts like ol WR RB and defense.Just not true. The quarterback might be the most important position in all of sports. Yeah, put Brady or Manning in their prime on the Browns ten years ago and I'm confident folks wouldn't be viewing the Browns the same way as they do today. Dobbs was awful against South Carolina that night. If he had played well, we wouldn't have lost.
He was much, much better in 2016 than 2015. Hard to make too many arguments against him his Sr. season. Even in the Vandy game where he had a critical fumble, his stat line was really good. You can only carry a team so far tho, especially with the injuries we had that year. Had JRM, Kirkland and Sutton not got injured we’re probably looking at an 11 win season. Plus Kamara being out vs Scar and Hurd quitting in the middle of it
Depends on if you're getting 2016 Dobbs, or Dobbs earlier in his career IMO. He made so much progress that final year. All the experience he had finally paid off and the game really seemed to slow down for him as a passer. With even an average O-line Dobbs would have had better numbers.
Hoping so!Pruitt said on his show, after Florida, "surely we have more plays on first down than running the ball every play".
Guessing that played a major role in the change.
Agree, although I don’t think the play calling was great a lot of the time early in 2015. Debord hit his stride late/mid 2015 and picked up right where he left off - App State and a few othersHe was much, much better in 2016 than 2015. In 2015, though, his lack of consistency passing definitely held the offense back at times.

Last week was much better. Hopefully this is more of a trend.
Sounds good man. We are seats 14-16. Do you know where y’all are tailgating?Alright, man!! We have to meet up. My bro-in-law, @Sugaray13, and I have tickets in section 34 row 48, so we are very close to each other. Crazy small world. Will be nice to put another face to a name.
None of us really know to what extent the coaches do or don’t trust JG to read defenses.I personally do not think its just passing more than running the ball, JG struggles to read the defense or the coaches do not trust him enough to read the defense. Throwing more passes is not the answer. In above average passing games you take advantage of all 3 levels of passes. Short passes under 10 yards, medium passes 11 to 20 yards and then down the field passes over 20 yards.
We rarely if ever use the medium or middle of the field. Defenses are able to widen their coverage and play tighter man since we do not use the middle.
This is probably the main reason why we are struggling as an offense other than the oline.
