i couldn't get past the 1st paragraph when it was poor me, i'm in the media and i don't get access.......

since when is it the media's job to report on the media? i honestly don't care. there's so many of those guys that have constructed the narrative that it's bad for the program to not allow access and demonize the coaches that don't allow enough (according to the media). so much so that they use it as justification for basically making stuff up. you hear them "well, when we don't have the access we need (code for want), we're forced to go find content elsewhere, and sometimes that's not good for all involved" type crap.

i'm glad he's written something that may be positive about UT basketball.

i just can't get myself to read past his whining. if it's that hard to do the job you have, go get a real job, and see how you like that.

Man. This hurricane actually has me worried. Usually I don't get worried about the ones that hit here. I've been through several. But the storm surge on this one has me worried. Mandatory evacuation for all of Panama City Beach. And where I'm located, the evac notice said my zone could expect up to 15 feet of storm surge.

I blasted the s#it out of this when someone posted it elsewhere last night, so hard I guess that the entire post was deleted. For y'all's enjoyment, because Rucker sucks:

A lot more money… Maybe it’s a testament to their humility that they’re taking a pay cut to be at Tennessee, but this sounds more like Rucker is overestimating his own worth in comparison to our coaches off the court.

Rucker writes in choppy, teenage-memoir prose and reports like he’s more interesting than the info he’s sharing.

Rucker, if you see this comment, please quit publishing cleaned-up first drafts and try not to come across as douchey and entitled. I’m no journalism/English major, but if I knew as much about beat reporting as you do, I’d be making a lot more money.

For the record, I appreciate all of the inside info about our program that he and others report.. I just don't think Rucker is as good as Rucker thinks Rucker is.

Good lord. I never really lost faith in Shoop. Thought his issues were because of Jones. I kept going back to the thought of you don't have the defenses he produced at Vanderbilt and Penn State and suddenly look terrible. We're seeing the real Bob Shoop once again IMO.

I’ve often wondered since the football-facilities race began if Knoxville has created a lazy country-club atmosphere for players. I don’t think we have the best facilities but they’re better than NFL franchises. Why else do all these blue chippers waste away? Was Butch really that detrimental?
