I love your optimism brother. I really do. But it’s gonna be a LONG time until we are back competing
But hey, basketball starts soon! We actually have a shot there, but I know what you mean.

I don't necessarily see it either, but I do see how it can happen! It's sports and anything is possible, we've just let all these nancies trick us into believing it's impossible! The Vols once whipped Bo Jackson and the war eagles, no reason it can't or won't happen again!
Well, this is a sports message board and everybody gets to give their opinions. Yes. Anything is possible as you said. I am trained, by inclination and by profession, to deal in likelihoods and probabilities. So, yes anything is possible. But that doesn’t make it likely.

I am pessimistic by nature. And what I have seen out of our team this season, gives me little hope. The tone for this season was started on the first play with that WV dude busting through our line like a swing door. We are out manned for sure... particularly so the next few weeks. Some hope springs eternal after Bama, though. But honestly, I don't think I can watch the rest of the season. I get too wound up, and stress is bad for you. I will DVR the remaining games and keep my fingers crossed for a good signing day and maybe a bowl next year.

Most national, regional and local TN fans and media folk realize Vol football fans deserve a medal of loyalty for staying with their Vols. If we see true effort, Neyland will continue to be filled...what other team can be SO bad for so long and in top 10 revenue? None.

OP, I applaud the push for the positive, but fans got nothing to do with it...we're gonna be there, regardless of this weekend's loss, or next or the next. Just like any company or sports team, when you run your organization with lack of discipline, vision, teamwork, or competence, you get bad results. From the top of UT down, since Dickey left, we have made one mis-step after another for 10+ years. To me, it finally seems that we've got unity, clarity and competence back at AD and coach, along with support of admin, for the first time since early-mid 2000's. The good news is that UT has continued to invest to truly have top 5 facilities, but to pretend that Fulmer can take over, appoint a coach, and all the sudden, a decade + of poor decisions is reversed, is just not going to happen. This is why other teams aren't down as long as us...UF, for example, may have made some coaching errors, but they've not been entirely dysfunctional in the way they do things. Fulmer is a needed unifying force and won't retire until we're back in the right direction. May or may not win a SEC game or two this year, but think Pruitt knows what he's doing. As much as I was hoping for that magic reversal, I think I'm just going to have to be remotely happy if they keep getting better, giving hope that in a year or two we're back in the mix.

Never said it did. All I'm saying is that a lot of fans are sick of hearing all the moaning by the same 20-25 people week in and out. I'm simply promoting for people to ignore them so that our experiences of following the Vols are better. These NegaVols are miserable people and I promise if you ignore them they'll go away, otherwise continue to let them be the mob and suffer through their miserable experience.

Nothing wrong with that, think good thoughts, who knows maybe it'll work!

That's not what Saban said when he took over communistic bama! He told all the negative fans to take a hike! Get on board or get off, he told them to take their fandom elsewhere if all they could do was bitch to Finebaum or moan and groan behind a keyboard on tiderinsider! He was right then and it's right now, all the NegaVols can go jump in a lake! We are who we are, get gone if you can't support our current kids and staff. I've been NegaVol before and it's a miserable experience and has NEVER helped our program, that may change Saturday I hope.

Add me. I'm not gonna brag and gush over 3 illegal formation penalties in a row, on a punt formation. I'll brag when deserved and complain if warranted.

Bye bye.....lol
I have tried to maintain an even keel on this message forum. What kind of board would this be if all we did was say “anything is possible-So let’s all root root root for the Vols.” It’s “possible” the vols could go undefeated the rest of the way. But nobody with a scintilla of a brain would say it will happen. So what is there to discuss? The answer is nothing. Let’s just shut down Volnation. That seems to be your position.

You aren't gonna have anyone to talk to soon.
If we all did it we'd be done with all these little crybabies! I like a good debate but these NegaVols were ridiculous when they ran Fulmer off and they are just as damaging now, time to be done with them, let them be the minority for a bit and let's see how it works! They will come crying for attention if you just ignore them

Nobody minds that, intelligent debate is always accepted, not listening to someone's opinion rationally is what is wrong with most of these nancies!

1. Never said I don't support the Vols, I hope for wins and see improvements, but saying we're gonna beat Auburn isn't gonna make it so.
2. Nice job starting a thread and arguing with everyone else who posts a response...20 of your grand total posts of 42.
3. Don't think Saban told everyone to take a hike when he was losing.

Not blaming them at all. We are letting all the negaVols go be with themselves. Gonna start ignoring them all, sooner or later the only people who see your post will be NegaVols, which I assume you will enjoy! Bye bye
Slow your roll guy... no reason to torch everyone that does not agree with you. We all know what the last 10 or so years has been like around here. A lot of emotions at play, so you might like to consider that aspect.

I see a close game for the most part... if we hang for 3 quarters, then I think we have a shot to win. But... as well we have been getting curb stomped by 26 each loss this year... so, we ain't been hanging around too much...so there's that as well.

Go back and listen to his 1st few pressers and after his terrible loss the 1st year at bama. He was adamant about it and it had a huge effect on the fanbase. Fans started to trust Saban and winning followed. We've got a group of UT negative nancies that started all this years ago with Fulmer and continue today even though they are wrong most of the time. People are tired of a bunch of whining fans that are never happy no matter what. I'm with Satan on this one, let them party in their own pit of miseries. I never said you didn't support the Vols, you mistook it that way or just decided to add it to the argument. The ones I ignored are several of the ones we all should ignore I feel. Their negative attitude does nothing for me or the Vols. Who counts posts and likes?

You have no way of knowing that, by long time what is that? Pruitt needs a few more recruiting classes and we will start to see a upward tick if we are going in the right direction. Recruiting cycles are 4 years in college by then you should for sure be able to see a marked improvement if your the man. I have confidence Pruitt is that man. GBO!
