Stidham looked like a tackling dummy at the end. He would take one look and then crumple into the fetal position. Have posted before I have never like Mahlzahn's O. Too simplistic as well stud DT QB and timing dependent. SEC DC's figured it out a few years ago. Keep their D out on the field like UGA did us with ball control and wear them down. Beat Auburn.

USCe does not win that game without rain and lightening intervention. Mizzou lost the game, USCe did not win that game. USCe is really beatable if you stop Deebo. None of their players dominate other than him. Their OC reminded me of Helton. That's not a good thing. Wake up Helton, beat USCe.

UK's QB and receivers were not ready for prime time. The QB had the deer in the headlights look - he was intimidated with the game and environment. His receivers did nothing to help him when he scrambled out of the pocket. Make the QB feel pressured, contain him, stop Snell - stop UK. It will take our lines playing big boy football, but our skill players and ST's are better overall.

Mizzou's D is really bad, especially the secondary at 3-4 positions. Their receivers are mediocre as well. Focus on Lock and the RB with pressure. Don't take the foot off the scoring accelerator. Beat Mizzou.

No analysis needed for Vandy. Just focus and win.

IMO that's how they go about winning 5 SEC games to finish out the schedule. It's on the roster and coaches to believe, strain, and execute. I do not "expect" us to win any of them except Vandy. I just know if they decide to man up and play to win for 60 minutes they have a reasonable shot to win all five. The real condition of the roster and any weak links in coaches will be clearly revealed from this point on. They've had their week off to regroup, take stock of where they are, and revise their plans for improvement. I count Charlotte and Vandy as wins. Need two more to gain the extra bowl prep practices. Will see how it goes.

Moorhead figured out that Auburn's defense over-pursues when you get them moving laterally, and then by the third quarter, they were gassed. It was really obvious live at the game during timeouts. Hands on the hips, sucking wind.

So, even with Fitzgerald's limitations (not great at quick reads, inaccurate intermediate passing, and he's just not nearly as explosive coming back from his injury from last year), we don't have the offensive line to do what MSU did. We do, however, have a more accurate qb and better receivers. I'd have to think that with UT's personnel, the game plan is going to be quick passes (slants, outs) and every single screen you have in the playbook. Then, if you got some momentum on them, start running misdirection when they get gassed.

Uk only had 178 yards of total offense
A&M should have blown them out but they kept them in the game with turnovers
Uk is good but let’s pump the breaks thinking we can’t beat them

Extremely one dimensional.

Worst passing offensive in the SEC and it’s not even close

You can’t just miss on that many 4 and 5 stars though. I compared the UK front seven and OL to ours a couple of weeks ago, and it’s not even close. I guess it is more mindset than I realized, but we have talent, and no one will convince me that we can’t at least compete against UK, Vandy, Mizzou, and USCe.
I hear ya, but to date we have missed on those guys.

Simply untrue. Jumping into the crowd and starting a brawl among paying customers is a different level.

Bush league, especially from someone who dominated the fight.
I’m not saying it was good, but throwing a dolly through a bus window with several folks on it is worse than an attempted brawl that was broken up within 5 seconds

Credit to UK and Stoops-- the Cats are playing with a lot of physicality, grit and determination. The Vols often lack that-- but it's not impossible to change. The Vols could play tougher, smarter, with a lot more physicality. UT has players who're not focused, lack discipline and give up on plays. The poor execution has led to a lack of trust, and that puts us in a vicious cycle. UT is out-talented by a lot of SEC teams, but our players take us out of games. When other teams are given opportunities to capitalize on our mistakes, they take them.
Agreed

I've said this before, but where we are in the season there's only 2 things that would surprise me... Losing to uncc and beating bama.
Past that... Who knows.

I do think the biggest difference I've seen with this UK team is the front 7.

They play defense...

To all my fellow morans and families walking through the Alzheimer's/dementia experience with loved ones - our hearts and prayers go out to you. In a month it will be the 7th anniversary of my wonderful mother-in-law's death from dementia. As Jacket posted, be thankful if your loved one knew you in the end. Ours did not. In the end her body forgot how to chew, swallow, and breathe. It was a brutal, 10+ year experience for her and our family. However, today she is with the Lord and all is good - no more pain, no more fear. The grief we felt gave way to great memories and life lessons to honor her, which were to love deeper and serve others better.

Thanks for this.

I think what makes this KY team different than your typical KY team is their physicality. They've matched every team they've played from a physical standpoint. Are they the most talented team on the field each week? Definitely not but they are matching up from a physical standpoint. We'll see if that continues but to this point they seem to be a pretty darn good team.

I wish the Vols were on KY's level this year. The rebuild would be quicker. All JMO.

Having a ton of seniors starting has a bit to do with it too. And they've learned and played in a consistent, stable system.

I'm not attempting to explain it. It is what I've witnessed. We have experienced position groups too but I don't see nearly the physical play that I've seen with KY. I'm not ready to crown them a top tier sec east team but they've impressed me thus far. Will they fall off next year? Probably, but this year they're a pretty dang good football team that will probably beat the Vols this year.

Not sure if anyone has been following the news today but that limo accident in NY is one of the more awful things you’ll ever hear. 18 fatalities in the limo which was apparently carrying a wedding party.

That’ll get to you man. Just heart wrenching.
