What is the common denominator into why MSU and UF are successful with 1st year coaches?
They both have above average QBs. We will continue to lose games until we find a QB that can play consistently above average a la Dobbs.
You can throw Florida and LSU in there. And I'm not sure UK or Auburn shouldn't be in that list. We'll find out about the rest as the season guess on
UF benefits from a strong belief system. They have swag. UT stoked their confidence and now they're playing with the feeling they can beat anybody. UK is much improved, but hold that pedestal. The Aggies didn't play well last night, yet they controlled that game. UK was riding a wave of confidence, but they have more want-to than talent and speed.
Ok so you're in the group that despite all the evidence to the contrary, that simply believes the roster is better than everyone says we are. Cool.I don't buy it especially with florida And Kentucky. Florida has been great because of TOs and playing 3 straight bad offenses. Kentucky has benefited from an offense that has until yesterday controlled the ball for long periods of time. No way in hell Kentucky
Has more speed than us.
As for LSU they always give you a chance because of their poor offense. Overall
I am sure they have more speed than us on D though. Auburn is almost the same all of a sudden with such a sputtering Offesne
I think what makes this KY team different than your typical KY team is their physicality. They've matched every team they've played from a physical standpoint. Are they the most talented team on the field each week? Definitely not but they are matching up from a physical standpoint. We'll see if that continues but to this point they seem to be a pretty darn good team.UF benefits from a strong belief system. They have swag. I guess that'll be your reason to come back in here after we lose to KY, USCe, Auburn or Missouri and tell everyone how bad the coaching is.
Amirite?

I'm thinking something like 24-6 Auburn on Saturday. They're still Auburn and we're still Tennessee. Their defensive front will destroy our offensive front and we'll eventually wear down on defense IMO.
We are quite charitable. We’ll make sure to get AU’s season turned around for them. Really, we should win some kind of award for this.
Yep. Confidence and overall team mentality is huge. The talent gap is so small with many of these teams those things are the difference. Really wish we hadn't played a damn good WV team to hurt us with that right off the start
Taking on the mentality of the fans unfortunatelyFor the first time in a long time, UF seemed to start the year filled with self-doubt. They looked vulnerable, headed into a hostile environment. A lot of UF fans were prepared to lose in Neyland. The stage was set for a UT win. But few teams in the country are as self-flagellating as the Vols. They made themselves lose. Will be interesting to see how they play against Auburn after the bye.
