I believe the fast talk is bs. We have plenty of speed on offense starting with a big time HR threat in chandler. I assume most of the talk about lacking speed comes from the other side of the ball and I don't buy it all that we are just that bad in that area.


Flying around on D playing with speed comes by playing with confidence and playing with energy. Well it's been very very clear that our D hasn't been able to to play with energy because they are getting worn down because on the are on the field all The damn time. They aren't slow they are just dang tired.


Teams that generate a lot of 3 and outs plays with great speed but just watch what they look like after that drive gets past 5-7 plays and they get tired. Hell Forida made LSU look slow in the 4th qt yesterday.

Way too much talk about a lack of speed with this team imo

Slow morning on twitter and vn so I wandered over to cockytalk and read where a poster said earlier this year that McCoullough and Jammie Robinson were the top two safeties on south Carolinas board. Would be hilarious if we got them both.

God I hate south carolina

Still do not think Kentucky is good. However, we are worse than I thought and Kentucky is better than what we are this year. Losing 14 starters will bring them down to earth next year. However, outside Alabama, I think several SEC teams on are the next tier including Georgia where they are good to very good with another tier of average then the next one where Tennessee, UCSE, Vandy, and Mizz reside. Kentucky is overall an average team with a bad QB who we can compete against. I am impressed that it is their best team in decades but still not a top 20 team.

I am watching a defense that is playing with an offense that goes 3 and out at an alarming rate.

I am watching a defense that is holding up very well in the first half of games.

I am watching a defense that is constantly put in very poor spots by their offense.


I am watching a defense that simply is way too worn down to play "fast".


In fact I'd even say I am watching a defense that is pretty dang good if it wasn't coupled with Helton and company.

Try's to say certain words but can't get them out so he makes up short words that don't exist. My mom has been taking care of him and now he has progressed to the point that Hospice is coming in to help her now. Just 6 months ago they said he wasn't far enough long to help but now is. Can't bathe himself anymore. Been very hard to watch him go down with this disease.

Prayers to all you guys. I am just about to sit here and ball my eyes out. My dad has passed but he knew who we were. This stuff is horrible. Hang in there my fellow morans.

I woudnt call MSU successful this year. I'd say they are heading toward a very average year lower than expectations.


I'd also say both teams have played relatively light schedules at this point and bad days are in their futures.

Real S&C programs in place for years under their previous coaching staffs?

Our roster is full of slow, small players with injury history and lack core strength. Mentally weak too. We've got a lot of issues.

We're all just going to have to be patient with the rebuild. We will be a better team at years end than we were at years beginning.

I am not sure I would quite call MSU a success yet. Their fans are not happy losing to UK and UF. They still have a tough schedule left. This was the first time I have seen a majority of a game, and they have no passing threat. But you are correct that a QB like a Dobbs can make up for that. Even if we had a QBlike that, I am not sure this staff would run him that many times.

I don't really disagree with any of this.

We still don't have enough overall team speed.
