Seems to me that having an offensive line with more holes than swiss cheese makes play-calling a little bit challenging. I think we will see improved play-calling with improved line play.

You are correct but there are things creative playcallers do to cover that up to an extent is the arguement.

Agreed. I heard someone arguing, maybe on the VQ podcast, that they should run more spread just to utilize the talent they have better. It's definitely a challenge to come in and convert a Butch Jones built offense to a USC or Bama built offense.

not to go off on some tangent, because there's mitigating circumstances to it, but Hurd was kind of an enigma to me. for two years, i thought he was everything as advertised. but that same kid who was as capable of being "that guy" those two years, also turned in to the kid we saw @ UGA and USCe. and he's now playing WR for Baylor. so kinda hard for me to say he lived up to his rating/hype for UT, no matter the circumstance. Dobbs wasn't a blue chip when got here. he was when he left. him and Sutton are two that we got more out of than we probably thought we would.

Yea i get that but he’s at the same time he was very very productive and one of the most beloved Vols for 2 years.

OL is definitely a huge hindrance and we shouldn’t close the book on this offensive staff yet.

But high level offensive coaches can find ways to work with what they’ve got. If you’re only a good playcaller when you’ve got a group full of good players, then you’re not a great playcaller.

Agree. The best adapt to the talent they have.

ON this day in history was the devestating Pig fumble game with Georgia. (2013) Neyland was extreme loud, I was hoarse, and had a paper program in my hand that was destroyed. Hopefully Pruitt can have one of those games with a good team and we WIN it!
