it's really kind of ridiculous to look back and really say that aside from Kamara and Barnett, and at times Trey Smith, almost every other blue chip guy we've gotten, has been a bust to date. Josh Malone was good his Jr. year, and i don't know that his overall lack of production was all necessarily his fault.... Tuttle has come on this year, thankfully. and i know injuries have been is big issue....but you get the idea.
Kamara
Dobbs
Hurd
Malone
Barnett
——-are all in a class of their own here. Those guys produced and earned every bit of their ratings, draft, etc.

The thing about some players, like Warrior and Sham, is that they can improve and their improvement would really help the team. Consistent effort goes a long way when a player has the ability and skillset to make a difference.

Other players, like Smith, are playing through injury. They're not going to be 100% until they heal and they can't fully heal when we need them to play 100%. Hopefully, bye week will give some guys a rest.

Good. Guy has been a bust. And once again folks bought into the off season hype with him. Your Swansons of the board were telling everyone Pruitt was going to make him a very rich man next April lol.

I don’t fault them. He’s built for a 3/4 edge player. He was never going to fit in a 4-3 so ideally hiring Pruitt should have benefited him more than anyone on the roster. I even had hopes for him, not superstar but i thought he would be productive.

not to go off on some tangent, because there's mitigating circumstances to it, but Hurd was kind of an enigma to me. for two years, i thought he was everything as advertised. but that same kid who was as capable of being "that guy" those two years, also turned in to the kid we saw @ UGA and USCe. and he's now playing WR for Baylor. so kinda hard for me to say he lived up to his rating/hype for UT, no matter the circumstance. Dobbs wasn't a blue chip when got here. he was when he left. him and Sutton are two that we got more out of than we probably thought we would.

He doesn't have near that frame to be a DT so no he doesn't have a DT body. The second part is accurate though. In his head he is some athletic QB sacking OLB machine....only he is not at all. He is terrible in space.
I disagree. I think he’s best as 3 tech and he doesn’t want to do it because those guys don’t get the big NFL contracts. I’m no expert on the subject but have seen some smart football guys on Twitter say he should’ve bulked up and stay in the middle.

Now he’ll be lucky to be invited to a camp.

A 3 technique just signed the largest defensive contract in NFL history less than 2 months ago.

But that’s pretty rare on average, right? Don’t average edge rushers normally get paid more than average 3 techs?

On average, yes I believe that’s correct.

Kongbo wasn’t making a roster as a 3 technique and he’s not making a roster as an edge. Juice-less imo

His playing days will be over after this year
